The President said he noticed damage done to the limestone in the Rose Garden, which is undergoing renovation, and proceeded to conduct an investigation.
“I happened to notice a huge gash in the limestone that extended more than 25 yards long. It was deep and nasty!” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.

He continued, “I started yelling, ‘Who did this, and I want to find out now!’ — And I didn’t say this in a nice manner.”
“I wondered, “Was it vandalism or, was it stupidity?” The President further noted.
He then explained that security camera captured the moment the damage was done.
“Lo and behold, because of the fact that we’ve installed the finest security equipment anywhere, they brought back the stupid people, with their boss watching (in sunglasses!)” Trump hilariously related.
“It was a subcontractor that was installing heavy landscaping on a steel cart that was broken and tilting badly, with it rubbing hard against the soft, beautiful stone,” he added.
“I love and respect great workers and contractors, but something like this should never happen,” Trump urged.
“Now, I’ll replace the stone, charge the contractor, and never let that contractor work at the White House again,” he vowed, adding “But, how great is the video equipment? We caught them, cold. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Trump is overseeing a series of extensive renovations at The White House aimed at reshaping the iconic residence in his distinctive style.
Key projects include the construction of a massive 90,000-square-foot ballroom attached to the East Wing, which is set to begin in September and is projected to be completed well before the end of his term in 2029.
Additionally, the Oval Office has been updated with gold embellishments on the walls and ceiling trim, reflecting Trump’s preference for maximalist decor.
The Rose Garden has been transformed by replacing its lawn with a cement patio, altering the traditional outdoor space.
The planned $200 million ballroom will be funded by both President Trump and other private, unnamed donors. The White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt has stated that the project will not use taxpayer money.
