Ghislaine Maxwell’s attempt to get a job outside of prison walls has failed. 

The Daily Mail reports that authorities “quietly tossed out” her application.

As we will see, it turns out that authorities had concerns about her being a flight risk.

Per the outlet:

Ghislaine Maxwell is on the hunt for a job after being rejected for a cushy new role chauffeuring inmates in and out of prison, Daily Mail can exclusively reveal. Maxwell recently transferred to Federal Prison Camp Bryan where felons can apply for coveted ‘town driver’ positions ferrying their fellow cons to medical appointments, bus stops and airports.

Things, however, did not go Maxwell’s way.

But her application was quietly tossed out after camp authorities determined the 63-year-old sex offender was too much of a flight risk to be allowed out unsupervised. Another woman was instead picked for the prized appointment considered the closest thing to freedom that a prisoner can hope for while incarcerated at the minimum-security lockup 100 miles northwest of Houston.

The outlet’s sources claimed that the denial has “infuriated” Maxwell. With her connections to Jeffrey Epstein, it is unlikely that she is going to get much sympathy for the denied job application.

Background

In early August 2025, reports were released revealing that Maxwell had been moved to a different prison, one with better conditions for her.

At the time, TMZ, for example, reported:

Jeffrey Epstein’s one-time girlfriend and co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell is on the move … because she’s transferring prisons … and her new surroundings are even nicer than the minimum security penitentiary where she was doing time. The Bureau of Prisons tells TMZ … Ghislaine is now being held at Federal Prison Camp Bryan in Texas.

Maxwell, of course, is serving a 20-year prison sentence for helping Epstein to traffic underage girls.

Maxwell has recently made national news headlines for a number of reasons.

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), for example, recently released the transcripts of an interview that they did with Maxwell. During that interview, Maxwell touched upon a range of topics, including Epstein’s connection to President Donald Trump and Epstein’s client list, which she claims does not exist.
