Democrats lost it on Thursday after Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. (RFK) announced that the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has begun studying certain psychiatric medications following the latest trans-related mass shooting.
Appearing on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends,” RFK was asked by host Brian Kilmeade if he intends to study whether the hormonal drugs used in so-called gender transitions are contributing to said shootings.
Listen to his reply below:
BREAKING: RFK Jr. says HHS will be launching studies into SSRIs following the the Minneapolis Catholic School shooting

“We are doing those kind of studies now,” he said. “At NIH, we’re launching studies on the potential contribution of some of the SSRI drugs and some of the other psychiatric drugs that might be contributing to violence.”
“You know, many of them on there have black box warnings that warn of suicidal ideation and homicidal ideation. We can’t exclude those as a culprit, and those are the kind of studies that we’re doing,” he added.
“There was no time in the past when people would walk into a church or a classroom and start shooting people. It’s not really happening in other countries, it’s happening here. And we need to look at all of the potential culprits that might be contributing to that,” RFK concluded.
SSRI is short for selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. They’re used to treat anxiety and depression, both of which are disproportionately experienced by people in the so-called transgender community.
RFK’s surprise announcement prompted outrage from Democrats, starting with Minnesota Sen. Tina Smith, who posted a tweet accusing the HHS secretary of “peddling bullsh*t”:
I dare you to go to Annunciation School and tell our grieving community, in effect, guns don’t kill kids, antidepressants do.
Just shut up. Stop peddling bullshit. You should be fired. https://t.co/DC0uTWkQlb

Like other rabid Democrats, she’s stubbornly convinced that the only thing that would stop school shootings are tougher gun laws.
“There are 400 million guns in this country,” she added in another tweet. “More guns than people. In America, we are ten times more likely to be shot in a school or playground than any other developed nation.”
Other rabid Democrats echoed THIS nonsense, in addition to “bullsh*t” of their own.
Look:
Yeah, because it definitely can’t be the case that MAGA, a vector for mental illness, is creating mentally ill school shooters from scratch.

They’ll twist themselves into all kinds of knots to blame every other possible reason just to avoid even mentioning the proliferation of and easy access to guns.

RFK Jr. spots a mass shooting and pivots to SSRIs like a pharma conspiracy theorist dodging the elephant in the room. Next he’ll blame fluoride in the water for school violence.

This is typical response by someone with an axe to grind to the Minnesota shooting. Instead of focusing on what were the factors that led to the shooting, look for SSRI or psychiatric drugs as possible causes. Can’t we do better than RFK Jr’s backwards approach.

RFK Jr push to study SSRIs after the Minneapolis shooting is a distraction. Stats show around 95% of mass shooters are young, white, heterosexual males, not trans people or SSRI users. This is scapegoating mental health meds and trans identities to dodge the real issue: easy… pic.twitter.com/rIYKj20jsY

Notice how they tried to blame literally everything else — including guns, straight white males, and even MAGA itself — except the drugs.
In reality, a 2010 study conducted by the NIH found that SSRIs and Varenicline are “the most strongly and consistently implicated drugs” when it came to “acts of violence towards others.”
“These data provide new evidence that acts of violence towards others are a genuine and serious adverse drug event that is associated with a relatively small group of drugs,” the study concluded.
THESE are the facts. But as usual, all projecting Democrats have going for them is nothing but pure “bullsh*t.”
