In a jaw-dropping, treasonous admission that is a brazen national security violation, Homeland Security Committee Member Representative Delia Ramirez (D-IL) attended a conference in Mexico City over the weekend where she declared that her loyalty was to Guatemala over the United States and that her husband is an illegal immigrant. Unbelievably, she also sits on the Border Security and Enforcement Committee and is a part of the 35-member Congressional Hispanic Caucus. Paging ICE and Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem…
Treason by any other name…
Not only should Ramirez be stripped from those committees, but she should be denaturalized and deported right along with her DREAMer husband. If she pledges her fealty to Guatemala, she should go there despite being born to an illegal Guatemalan immigrant who snuck into the US. The very thought that a member of the Homeland Security Committee is loyal to a country other than the United States and has the gall to flagrantly break federal law while boasting about it should enrage and alarm every American out there.
Everyone who attended the second annual Panamerican Congress in Mexico City was part of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. That not only included Ramirez (an anchor baby), but also “Squad” members Reps. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, Summer Lee of Pennsylvania, and Jesús Gilberto García of Illinois. All of them blasted America while at that communist confab.

Divided loyalties
Ramirez hammered the Trump administration’s illegal immigration crackdown and made it clear she was proud to be a Guatemalan, not an American.
“I’m a proud Guatemalan before I’m an American,” she declared in Spanish, according to Fox News. She also accused the US of prioritizing “imperialism, militarization, conquest, control, competition in its attempt at domination.”

The three-day event was opened by former M-19 terrorist turned Colombian President Gustavo Petro, according to Blaze Media.
From Blaze Media on Ramirez’s progressive agenda:
Ramirez, who last week called for the defunding of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, suggested in a statement obtained by the Los Angeles Times that the lawmakers and leaders headed to the convention sought to take up various challenges supposedly affecting the Western Hemisphere, including “democratic backsliding, climate crisis, deep poverty, political violence, [and] family displacement.”
Blatantly pushing illegal immigration from the US Congress
Via her website, Ramirez revealed that she was an anchor baby and that her husband is an illegal immigrant. She says she is the only congressional lawmaker “in a mixed-status marriage, and fights for the rights of DREAMers like her husband, Boris, and for comprehensive immigration reform.”

The White House slammed Ramirez and her comrades for their remarks.
“These Democrats’ comments are despicable and underscore their commitment to putting Americans last,” White House spokesperson Liz Huston told Fox News Digital in an interview. “In stark contrast, President Trump is working tirelessly to secure peace deals, deport illegal alien criminals, and advance America’s interests at home and abroad.”
A communist, America-hating gathering
And what leftist communist get-together would be complete without anti-Semitism? The speakers also tore into Israel while lauding Hamas. No surprise there either.
From Fox News:
Mauricio Jaramillo Jassir, Colombia’s deputy minister of multilateral affairs, praised Tlaib during his speech, calling her a “symbol of resistance,” which prompted a standing ovation once he finished speaking.
The summit was organized by the leader of Progressive International, a radical left-wing group that describes capitalism as a “virus” that must be “eradicated” — in partnership with Morena, Mexico’s ruling left-wing party, the Daily Caller News Foundation reported.

You don’t need anything else to know that Democrats are Marxists, and so is the leadership of Mexico.
Gerardo Fernández Noroña, who is the president of the Mexican Senate and a member of Morena, called out the “persecution” of migrants in the US under the Trump administration. Mexico hates Trump because he wants to stop illegal immigration and neuter the cartels, which the corrupt government there has embraced. Mexico is all for illegal immigration because it wants to take back parts of the United States. It’s called an invasion. It’s also an act of war.
Noroña called the so-called persecution of illegal immigrants an “unjust, infamous, incorrect persecution where just for being a migrant and just for your skin color or your nationality, you are persecuted.”
“They are not only imprisoned, but sent to a prison that has been banned since World War II, such as Alligator Alcatraz,” he lied. “The United States government is grieving over drug use, but I haven’t seen a single raid like the one they carry out against migrants, against people who sell drugs in the United States.”
Fascists decrying fascism
David Adler, the general coordinator for Progressive International and one of the summit’s main coordinators, claimed in an interview before the event that the summit was meant to “confront authoritarian and fascist threats and shift authority from Washington, DC to developing countries in the Global South, a term used to describe a loose division of nations across different continents that are generally poorer, have high levels of inequity and harsher living conditions,” according to the DCNF.

Progressive International calls the US on its website the “lynchpin of that imperial violence — a position it has carefully built over two centuries.” That’s a reference to US military installations overseas and the massive Pentagon budget.
“US militarism sustains profound political tensions around the world. Its interventions have destroyed nation after nation, leaving a trail of violence and sorrow in their wake,” the website proclaims. “Ending US militarism means saving lives.”
American blowback – words have consequences
The Department of Homeland Security posted the following quote from President Theodore Roosevelt on X: “There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. … Americanism is a matter of the spirit and of the soul. Our allegiance must be purely to the United States. We must unsparingly condemn any man who holds any other allegiance.”

Conservatives were disgusted and furious over Ramirez’s remarks.
“My late parents, who were immigrants, loved this country with every fiber of their being and were grateful for the incredible opportunities it offered them. I can only imagine how much it would have pained them to hear a sitting member of Congress, Rep. Delia Ramirez (D-IL), declare (in Spanish) at a public event in Mexico City that ‘I’m a proud Guatemalan first, before I’m an American,’” wrote US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau. “Words more poisonous to legal immigrants, and antithetical to our national character, have never been spoken.”
“She didn’t leave much ambiguity there,” wrote Senator Mike Lee (R-UT).

Blaze Media had more great takes on Ramirez getting the boot while illustrating exactly what she stands for:
Blaze Media digital strategist Logan Hall noted, “The idea that this person’s abuela can show up here illegally, touch some magic dirt, and is now somehow as American as a guy who can trace his ancestors to the Mayflower is pure insanity.”
“Just send her back to Guatemala then,” wrote BlazeTV host Steve Deace.
BlazeTV host Auron MacIntyre said, “It’s time to talk about paperwork Americans.”
Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) joined others in calling for Ramirez’s denaturalization and deportation, adding that “we know where her allegiances lie.”
Ramirez has made no secret of her willingness to put the interests of foreign nationals before those of Americans.
She has, for instance, voted against preventing noncitizens from voting in American elections; against the Secure the Border Act; against compelling Washington, D.C., to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement activities; against the Laken Riley Act; against the Preventing Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act; against the Police Our Border Act; and against legislation that would require the detention and deportation of illegal aliens who assault American police officers and demanded the resignation of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem over her proper enforcement of federal immigration law.

She also introduced a bill that would ban the use of federal funds to implement Trump’s executive order titled “Protecting the Meaning and Value of American Citizenship.”
And no one will be surprised that she is connected to that old spider, George Soros.

Progressive defiance
Ramirez was defiant after her comments and the backlash they engendered: “Today’s attacks are a weak attempt to silence my dissent and invalidate my patriotic criticism of the nativist, white supremacist, authoritarians in government.”
“It is the definition of hypocrisy that members of Congress — who betray their oath each day they enable Trump — are attacking me for celebrating my Guatemalan-American roots,” Ramirez added. “I am the daughter of immigrants and the daughter of America. I am both Chapina and American. I am from both Guatemala and Chicago, Illinois.” She said that after claiming that “[h]onoring my Guatemalan ancestry only strengthens my commitment to America,” according to The Federalist.

Someone should tell her that loyalty cannot be to two countries, or to a state, or a political party. It must be to one nation, and it appears she chose one other than the United States.
Back in May, Ramirez confronted Noem, asking her, “When you took your oath, did you swear to support and uphold the Constitution of the United States of America?”
“Yes, I did,” Noem replied.
“I find that laughable,” sneered Ramirez.

More from Breitbart on Ramirez’s condescension against Noem and President Trump:
We don’t live in a dictatorship or a monarchy. Trump’s will is not the guiding doctrine of this nation and our country for his or your twisted authoritarian fantasies. We are a democracy. We defend the Constitution and we affirm the rule of law. We respect the co-branches of government, and we uphold our rights, even when we disagree. The foundation of our nation is based on a core set of constitutional rights upon which our prosperity, our pluralism, and our peace depend on it [sic].
You, however, have been leading this work for 116 days, and in that time, you have profiled and dehumanized our neighbors, you’ve betrayed our constitutional commitment to due process, you’ve deported United States citizens. You’ve undermined the courts, you’ve broken the law, you’ve engaged in corruption, and you’ve weaponized the immigration system to violate civil rights. As Sen. [Chris] Murphy [D-NJ] perfectly stated, your department is out of control, but you, you’re responsible. You have betrayed the sacred fundamentals of your oath, and I believe to my core that you are not fit to hold the office. And I again, to your face, demand your immediate resignation, and I put and place it on the record for all of us to see.
Alexander Hamilton warned against this very thing in 1802, admonishing that “[t]he safety of a republic depends essentially on the energy of a common National sentiment; on a uniformity of principles and habits; on the exemption of the citizens from foreign bias, and prejudice; and on that love of country which will almost invariably be found to be closely connected with birth, education and family.”
Ramirez cannot have divided loyalties and serve in our government. She needs to be ejected from those committees and shown the door. Her stance is a threat to the Republic itself.
