Biden Team Sends A Message To Kamala: Keep Your Mouth Shut

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have stepped back out into the news cycle this week. Did anyone miss them?

The Biden-Harris presidency, which felt like it lasted an eternity, is fading from memory, but it really should not. The scandal that was the cover up of Biden’s declining cognitive condition should be fully investigated and exposed, and while some former White House staffers have pleaded the Fifth, others – like former chief of staff Ron Klain and Mike Donilon – have had looser lips. But one person who has not yet been called to testify is the former vice president herself.

With Kamala Harris announcing her new book – as well as declining to run for governor of California – it does seem to look like the former vice president is attempting to position herself to run again for president in 2028. However, we should all remember that her first run for president was a disaster, and her second run for president was handed to her on a silver platter – and she lost all seven of the swing states. There is no reason to believe that the third time will be the charm for Kamala, especially not with a wide open Democrat primary field that will be aiming straight for her jugular vein.

The real question everyone is wondering about right now is what kind of dirt Kamala Harris has in her new book. I doubt she will spill much tea, mostly because she can’t afford to burn bridges and still run for office again. But she could shift a lot of the blame onto the Biden White House, his staffers, the Biden campaign staff that she inherited, and Joe himself – especially because Joe kept insisting that there be “no daylight” between the two of them on any issues. That insistence probably helped short-circuit Kamala when she was on “The View,” being tossed softball questions and absolutely whiffing them. That book of Kamala’s comes out in September, and whatever she told the ghostwriters is already being printed.

Which is probably why Team Biden is putting out the word that they have a LOT of dirt on Kamala if she spills the tea on Joe.

Joe Biden’s allies are prepared to “escalate” and reveal unflattering stories about Kamala Harris should the former vice president decide to talk about the former president’s cognitive decline, according to a veteran political journalist.

The stories about Harris’ tenure as Biden’s No. 2 are “Palinesque,” 2WAY’s Mark Halperin said Friday, a reference to former Alaska governor and Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin.

“I will tell you, and this has never been reported, barely at all: if the Biden people decide that Kamala is coming after Joe Biden, wait till you hear the ‘Palinesque’ stories about how much they tried to help her be prepared to be vice president and be in a position to run. And how much they decided, ‘Not happening. She’s not up to this,’” Halperin said on “The Morning Meeting” show.

“If the Biden people feel threatened, you will hear stories about Kamala Harris as vice president that will not make her look good,” Halperin said.

“So there’s a closeness to the couples,” he added. “It’s not like they’re at war currently, but I’m telling you, if Joe Biden feels threatened, if his people feel threatened by her, this is gonna escalate in a big way.”

Halperin argued that Harris would have a “hard time defending against the stories if that dam bursts.”

Even putting this message to the Harris camp into the media ecosystem is an “escalation,” to be honest. If Team Biden trusted that Kamala was “loyal” to old Joe, then this wouldn’t have even been mentioned. Now, the person who really doubted Kamala’s loyalty to Joe was none other than Jill Biden, who never wanted Kamala Harris to be vice president. But Kamala played an obedient second fiddle to the failing Biden because she knew that if he took one wrong step on a flight of stairs, she would be president. And when the moment came, and Joe was shown the door, Kamala was there to pick up the campaign war chest and keep going. I have no doubt in my mind that if Kamala Harris mentions anything about Joe Biden’s cognitive decline in her new book, Jill Biden will immediately unleash the aides and the stories about Kamala being a faltering, stammering dummy as vice president are going to come pouring out.

The reason that Kamala Harris is being warned off, of course, is because Joe Biden now has a $10 million book deal for his own memoirs, and he’s probably dozing off while his own ghostwriters are getting notes from Jill on how they want to present his presidency, while trying to preserve some kind of “legacy.” (One has to wonder if he’s using the same ghostwriter who ended up getting classified information from him for his last book.) All Joe and Jill have is the narrative, and even though Joe pre-emptively pardoned the family, the coffers are either at a standstill or dwindling. They need this book to be a hit, because goodness knows Hunter’s paintings aren’t selling. This memoir is likely the last chance that Joe has to make any more money, and if Kamala spills the tea on him, Team Biden is going to serve it right back to her. After all, what does he have to lose? His political life is over, and his bridges have been burned. I fully expect his bitterness against Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama to come gushing off the pages, but Kamala may get a pass – if she stays quiet.

And if she does not, get the popcorn, because Jill’s revenge is going to be immediate, obvious, and brutal.
