The fallout from the way the Trump administration has approached the Epstein files continues to unfold, and some of it has to do with FBI Director Kash Patel’s girlfriend, who has been accused by some of being someone else.
According to the Daily Mail, Alexis Wilkins, 26, broke her silence on a conspiracy theory floating around that she’s a “honeypot” Israeli intelligence agent assigned to influence her powerful boyfriend’s agenda and actions.
She wrote off the conspiracy as nothing more than a silly notion, noting that if it really were the case that she was a secret intel agent working Patel, it would have been a “really long-game play,” saying she was with Patel long before he was the FBI director.
The conspiracy comes as many in MAGA circles remain furious at the uneventful conclusion of the review of the so-called Epstein files.
What’s going on?
During a podcast interview with former Fox News host Megyn Kelly, Wilkins at first expressed outrage that she is somehow working for the Israeli government on a secret mission to influence Patel.
“It’s accusing me of manipulating the person that I’m with, that I love. That’s a horrible accusation,” Wilkins told Kelly.
The Daily Mail noted:
Wilkins, however, was surprised to find she somehow became the center of fury within factions of the MAGA movement who were most furious over the FBI and DOJ findings in the Epstein files review.
“I knew that Prager – this is something the deep sides of the internet like to pick at when they can’t find out what else is wrong. So, some of it didn’t surprise me when it first started coming up,” Wilkins, a country music singer, said. She hosted a show on PragerU and gained national prominence when she attended Patel’s confirmation hearings.
Conspiracy theorists who believe she works for Mossad have noted that “PragerU CEO Marissa Streit was an intelligence officer in the Israeli Defense Forces.”
Wilkins has, unfortunately, dealt with the fallout from the Epstein situation and the conspiracy, saying that her family members have been doxxed along with being harassed online.
She gets it, to a degree
Wilkins explained that she knows people are upset about the Epstein files situation.
“They want to connect things, they want to justify, you know, some of the pain that they’ve been through watching the last four years, and there’s pieces of this that, you know, I can, I understand,” she told Kelly.
“But I think that they’ve taken just these pieces of evidence that you laid out and tie them together in all of the wrong ways.”
It’ll be interesting to see if anything else comes of the Epstein situation that will help settle the MAGA world.
