
The FBI has arrested a Dayton man accused of threatening to kill tens of thousands of people in Cincinnati.
Scott Hanna, 30, was arrested on Aug. 1 after the Cincinnati Police Department sent a threatening X post, allegedly posted by him, to the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, according to a news release. Hanna was charged with making an interstate communication with a threat to injure.
The profile that created the threatening post was connected to Hanna through an FBI investigation, including information accessed by making an emergency disclosure request to X. The FBI also made emergency requests with information provided by X to AT&T and Google.
