Trump had warned that if the countries didn’t stop fighting, they would not get a trade deal from the United States.

Thai acting Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet reached the ceasefire during talks in Malaysia where Trump administration envoys also participated, Bloomberg reported.

The clash between the Southeast Asian nations began Thursday, with Cambodia accusing Thailand of using cluster munitions, highly controversial weapons that have multiple bomblets that explode over a large area. Thailand then accused Cambodia of intentionally targeting civilians.
