Joseph Stalin’s Dialectical and Historical Materialism is worth reading to understand what they mean by “social democracy” and “Democratic Socialism.” The greatest mass murderer in history, next to Mao, Stalin describes the historical process of slavery, followed by feudalism, capitalism, and socialism, ultimately resulting in communism.
Communists openly organize on American soil, in violation of the Communist Control Act, a law still on the books but not enforced. Congress abolished internal security panels while Big Tech platforms like YouTube terminated my account and our 500 anti-communist videos. Today, we air our programs on the Rumble channel.
As a result of letting down our guard, we face spectacles such as the rise of “Democratic Socialist” Zohran Mamdani in New York City, a rich kid born into wealth and power who promises free things for people. It is a form of theft. This has mass appeal because many “Americans” imported into the country do not understand basic economics. Our media make the problem worse by trying to convince us that “Democratic Socialism” is somehow different than communism.
I just returned from New York City, where I visited two communist bookstores, one of them called “Revolution Books” and associated with the Revolutionary Communist Party and located on Malcolm X Boulevard in Harlem. On July 20, it is sponsoring a forum “on the victory of Zohran Mamdani,” and what it calls “the vicious attacks on him, and the fight for real revolution.” Clearly, they are excited about the prospect of Mamdani winning in November.
Today, a popular Marxist publication based in New York City goes by the name of Jacobin and has published an article noting that “the most important factor in Zohran’s victory is the movement that Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) has built in New York City since the Bernie Sanders campaign in 2016.”
Mass Murder
The name “Jacobin” has special significance. The Jacobin government in the French Revolution used the guillotine during what was called the Reign of Terror.
Jacobin says it offers “socialist perspectives on politics and culture.” The fact that a Marxist publication would openly use the name “Jacobin” says a lot about their plans for New York City and America as a whole.
Lenin reportedly said the Jacobins were the Bolsheviks of the 18th century.
A casual Google search finds these references to Jacobin:
- “A Jacobin is defined as a member of a radical society of French revolutionaries who promoted the Reign of Terror from 1789 to 1794 in order to eliminate opposition to the revolutionary regime and consolidate power.”
- “As influential leaders like Maximilien Robespierre and Georges Danton took center stage, the Jacobins’ influence grew and led to the slaughter of hundreds, just because of their political beliefs.”
- “Jacobin Club, the most famous political group of the French Revolution, which became identified with extreme egalitarianismand violence and which led the Revolutionary government from mid-1793 to mid-1794.”
A category of “Black Jacobins” has been defined by one major socialist publication as the force behind “the first and only successful slave revolution in human history,” the Haitian revolution in 1804. The establishment of what is called “the Negro state of Haiti” has lasted to this day.
This is important because another communist bookstore in New York City is called 1804 Books, “the year of the victory of the Haitian Revolution, which set the path of liberation in the Americas.” It is associated with the People’s Forum and the Party for Socialism and Liberation and describes itself as “a shop for socialist literature and revolutionary theory with internationalist resources for political education, organizing & movement building.” On the day that I visited 1804 Books, they were hosting an event to benefit the Sudanese Resistance Front, which declares that it “stands firmly against all forms of imperialism” and imagines “a liberated future beyond the grasp of capital and colonialism.”
Our Socialist Future
Around the room I saw posters devoted to Lenin, cop killer Assata Shakur (now in Cuba), “People Power,” a “Free Gaza,” and “Independence, Democracy, Socialism.”
A book published by the Party for Socialism and Liberation, which is associated with the bookstore, was also available. It is titled Socialist Reconstruction. A Better Future for the United States.
They have a plan. It has already led to 100 million dead but it has not yet been tried on a national basis in the United States.
To understand our fate, consider Haiti, with a population of 11.4 million, located about 700 miles from Miami, Florida.
Biden’s plan to admit thousands of Haitians became an issue in the 2024 campaign, when as many as 20,000 Haitian immigrants were discovered in Springfield, Ohio, a town of just 58,000.
The U.S. State Department warns, “Do not travel to Haiti due to kidnapping, crime, terrorist activity, civil unrest, and limited health care.”
Today, even the United Nations warns people about Haiti, saying the country is characterized by surging gang violence and lawlessness. It reports, “Between October 2024 and June 2025, 4,864 people in Haiti have been killed by gang violence. At least hundreds more have been injured, kidnapped, raped, and trafficked.”
For more on conditions in Haiti, I recommend Drew Binsky’s video, “I Spent a Day in Haiti’s Most Dangerous Slum.” He reports, “After visiting all 197 countries and thousands of cities around the world, I can say with 100% certainty that Port au Prince, Haiti, takes the crown as THE MOST DANGEROUS. Yes, more than Afghanistan, Somalia, Libya, Syria and Iraq COMBINED.”
From Stability to Communism
I was in Port au Prince back in the early 1980s on a journalistic fact-finding mission, when the country was stable under the rule of Jean-Claude Duvalier. He was overthrown in 1986.
During years of turmoil, President Bill Clinton ordered U.S. troops under U.N. to be deployed on a mission to restore to power the former Haitian president, Jean Bertrand Aristide, a Catholic priest kicked out of his Catholic order for preaching violence. Aristide was known as an advocate of “liberation theology,” a mixture of Christianity and Marxism that scholar Malachi Martin called a “perfectly faithful exercise” of the principles of Italian Communist Antonio Gramsci, who emphasized cultural penetration of Western institutions.
The intervention represented an unprecedented effort by the Clinton administration to use American military power with U.N. backing to install pro-Communist forces in control of a country.
In the United States, on the website of a DSA affiliate, Bhaskar Sunkara was identified as the person behind Jacobin magazine and it was claimed that “The name Jacobin, while [usually] meant to invoke the French Revolution, has a different meaning for Sunkara. In naming the magazine, he was inspired at least in part by C.L.R. James’s The Black Jacobins, a hugely influential Marxist history of the Haitian Revolution.”
I am amazed at how this communist agenda is openly advertised in America today, largely without a peep of protest, until Zohran Mamdani suddenly burst upon the scene, on the verge of capturing control of America’s largest city.
President Trump once called Haiti a “shithole” country.
Now, America’s Marxists are urging the U.S. to follow the Haiti example.
Under the Communist Control Act, the Communist Party of the United States and its spin-offs can be identified and its members jailed and/or deported. It is time for action.
