President Donald Trump on Tuesday night speaks at a White House reception for Republican members of Congress, which comes as the House of Representatives prepares to leave Washington, D.C. for its annual August recess.
The House is expected to wrap up its business on Wednesday, but the Senate is not expected to leave until Aug. 1.
The Senate is also weighing staying around to confirm more of Trump’s judicial nominees.
Trump has pushed the Senate to cancel some of its recess to confirm the nominees.
