The Left can’t stand to see President Trump honored for his incredible service to America.
But Florida just delivered a massive blow to Trump’s critics.
And Donald Trump got one incredible honor that fell apart completely for his opponents.
Palm Beach County honors Trump with boulevard dedication
The Palm Beach County Board of Commissioners unanimously voted to rename a four-mile stretch of Southern Boulevard as “President Donald J. Trump Boulevard.”
The renamed road runs from Palm Beach International Airport directly to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate, making it the perfect tribute to the 47th President.
This isn’t just some token gesture either.
The boulevard carries significant traffic and connects two of the most important locations in Trump’s life — the airport where Air Force One lands and his beloved Mar-a-Lago resort.
President Trump expressed his gratitude for the honor in a post on Truth Social that showed just how much the gesture meant to him.
“It has been brought to my attention that the Great State of Florida, which I won BIG three times, and where I am a proud Resident, has renamed an important four-mile stretch of Southern Boulevard, in Palm Beach County, to ‘PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP BOULEVARD,’” Trump wrote.¹
“Thank you to Palm Beach County, Governor Ron DeSantis, and all of Florida’s great State Lawmakers, on granting me this wonderful honor! I LOVE FLORIDA.”²
The decision came after the Florida Legislature passed HB 987 earlier this year, which directed the state’s Transportation Department to erect signs honoring Trump along the roadway.
Governor Ron DeSantis signed the legislation into law, and it required approval from the local Board of Commissioners to take effect.
Florida Republicans champion Trump with road dedication
Palm Beach Republican Meg Weinberger led the charge for the road dedication last year, saying the honor reflected the feelings of Floridians who appreciate Trump’s dedication to the state and country.
“I am proud that he will be memorialized forever on the eastern part of Southern Boulevard,” Weinberger stated.³
The new signs will be installed by September, creating a permanent tribute to Trump that thousands of people will see every day.
This marks the second road named after Trump in Florida in recent months.
The city of Hialeah renamed Palm Avenue as Donald J. Trump Avenue late last year, showing that the Sunshine State continues to honor the President who has made Florida his home.
Trump changed his permanent residence from New York City to Palm Beach in 2019 after Democrat politicians treated him “very badly.”
“I cherish New York, and the people of New York, and always will, but unfortunately, despite the fact that I pay millions of dollars in city, state and local taxes each year, I have been treated very badly by the political leaders of both the city and state,” Trump wrote at the time.⁴
“Few have been treated worse. I hated having to make this decision, but in the end it will be best for all concerned,” he added.⁵
The boulevard represents Trump’s connection to Florida
The timing of this honor couldn’t be more perfect.
Trump has spent at least a dozen weekends at Mar-a-Lago since taking office in January, making the drive along what will now be President Donald J. Trump Boulevard a regular part of his routine.
The renamed road also holds special significance because it connects the airport where Air Force One lands to his private residence and resort.
Every time Trump travels to Mar-a-Lago, he’ll be driving on a road named in his honor — a fitting tribute to a President who has made Florida his home base.
The legislation that made this possible also includes provisions to rename another section of the road as “PBSO Motorman Highway” in honor of three motorcycle deputies with the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office who were killed in a crash last year.
It shows how Florida lawmakers are willing to honor both their President and their fallen heroes.
Florida is also preparing to house Trump’s presidential library, with lawmakers passing legislation this year to preempt control of the building to Tallahassee to block potential local interference.
Trump’s critics can’t stop Florida’s tribute
While the renaming is officially ceremonial — meaning postal addresses and emergency services will continue to use the original Southern Boulevard name — the symbolic power can’t be denied.
Trump’s opponents tried to organize protests near Mar-a-Lago last month with their “No Kings” demonstration, but they can’t stop Florida from honoring its adopted son.
The fact that Palm Beach County commissioners voted unanimously shows just how much support Trump has in his home county.
These are the same roads where Trump’s motorcade travels regularly, and now they bear his name as a permanent reminder of his presidency.
The boulevard dedication represents something bigger than just a road sign.
It’s Florida’s way of saying that Trump is welcome and honored in the Sunshine State, no matter what his critics in New York or Washington, D.C. might think.
Democrats can whine all they want, but they can’t take away the fact that President Donald J. Trump Boulevard is now a permanent part of Florida’s landscape.
Every day, thousands of Floridians and visitors will drive on a road named after the man who brought common sense back to Washington, D.C.
That’s the kind of legacy that lasts forever.
