John Quincy Adams, president, abolitionist, and patriot, wrote in a letter, “The highest, the transcendent glory of the American Revolution was this–it connected, in one indissoluble bond, the principles of civil government with the precepts of Christianity.”
When we look around our nation, it is all too easy to see how far we have fallen from our Judeo-Christian founding. Abortion, homosexual “marriage,” promiscuity, sexual grooming of children, contraception, transgenderism, secularism… how many are the anti-biblical and evil practices ubiquitous in America today! The Founders, including John Q. Adams’s father John Adams, all understood and emphasized that our rights and liberties would only survive so long as we held to our religion and morality. We rejected their advice during the 20th century, and now our rights and liberties are under constant attack.
