After years of a revolving door at our southern border, a national cleanup is finally underway. The era of coddling those who break our laws is over. A new wave of American common sense is washing over the nation, and it’s about time.
Restoring order means making tough choices. It means doing what is necessary, not what is popular with the radical left. Some people will complain, of course. They always do when their disastrous policies are swept into the dustbin of history.
Nowhere is this cleanup more visible than in the Florida Everglades, at a new facility nicknamed “Alligator Alcatraz.” While liberals cry foul, officials have just revealed exactly who is being held there: the worst of the worst criminal aliens the last administration let into our country.

Some individuals awaiting deportation at “Alligator Alcatraz” in Florida were convicted of serious crimes, according to new information from the Florida Attorney General’s office.
“The left-wing press continues to spend their time amplifying false reports, but the reality is that there are monsters awaiting deportation within Alligator Alcatraz far worse than the monsters lurking in the surrounding Everglades,” Jeremy Redfern, communications director for Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier, said in a statement.
“This group of murderers, rapists, and gang members are just a small sample of the deranged psychopaths that Florida is helping President Trump and his administration remove from our country,” he continued.
These aren’t just simple border crossers. We’re talking about monsters. One detainee, Eddy Lopez Jemot from Cuba, was convicted of murder after cutting the throat of an elderly woman and setting her home on fire. Another, Honduran national Jose Fortin, was convicted of second-degree murder. The list also includes an MS-13 gang member known as “Satan,” who faced charges for conspiracy to commit murder.
The Absurd Objections
Despite the horrific crimes of these detainees, Democrats are more concerned about the facility itself. Florida Democratic Party Chair Nikki Fried called it “cruel” and “environmentally catastrophic.” They are complaining about a prison camp in the wetlands while murderers and rapists are taken off our streets.
President Trump, who recently toured the facility, isn’t wasting time with hurt feelings. He knows what’s at stake. He promised to secure the border and remove the most dangerous elements, and he is delivering.
“Very soon, this facility will have some of the most menacing migrants, some of the most vicious people on the planet,” Trump said.
The choice has never been clearer. We can worry about the comfort of killers and the feelings of environmental activists, or we can protect American families. For this administration, and for millions of patriotic Americans, it’s not a difficult choice at all.
