The Trump administration on Thursday released its annual report detailing the salaries of every White House staff member, revealing a wide pay range from $59,070 to $225,700 — with a few employees taking no salary at all.
Topping the list is senior advisor Jacalynne Klopp, who earns the maximum allowed salary of $225,700. Just behind her is associate counsel Edgar Mkrtchian, making $203,645.
A large group of 33 high-ranking staffers earn $195,200. This includes several prominent figures in the administration: Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, Border Czar Tom Homan, Chief of Staff Susan Wiles, Trade Advisor Peter Navarro, Communications Director Steven Cheung, and Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller.
The report shows that 108 White House employees fall in the mid-range bracket, earning between $59,000 and $80,000. Trump’s team of speechwriters command higher pay, with salaries ranging from $92,500 to $121,500.
Eight staff members are not taking salaries, often due to dual government roles. Among them is Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who is also serving as national security advisor but receives no pay from the White House. Special envoy Steve Witkoff is similarly compensated through the State Department.
President Trump’s own salary is not listed in the report, but federal law sets presidential pay at $400,000 per year, along with allowances totaling $169,000 for expenses, travel, and entertainment.
During his first term, Trump famously donated his entire presidential salary to various federal agencies. He has pledged to continue doing so throughout his second term.
The salary disclosures come as part of a long-standing annual tradition meant to promote government transparency and accountability to the public.
