New York Governor Kathy Hochul has stated that federal agents notified her of a potential terrorist threat ahead of the July 4 Independence Day holiday.
“Our federal partners reiterated yesterday that lone wolf actors remain the greatest potential threat, including during the upcoming July 4th holiday,” Hochul said in a July 2 statement, without naming any federal agency or revealing specifics about suspected plots.
The governor stated that state law enforcement authorities are “in an increased alert posture following the recent conflict in the Middle East” and that under her instruction, “State Police will have an increased presence at large events throughout the state” over the holiday.
“And we will be closely coordinating with local and federal law enforcement partners to ensure the safety of all involved,” according to her.”National Guard forces remain stationed at major transportation hubs, as well as important bridges and tunnels in New York City.
While Hochul did not clarify, ABC News and other publications claimed, citing an internal advisory issued by the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), that the agencies believe there is an increased threat in New York and California on Independence Day.
Earlier this week, the FBI and other agencies warned that Iranian regime-linked groups could undertake cyberattacks on US infrastructure, but they made no public warnings regarding Iranian-linked terrorist attacks.
“Defense Industrial Base companies, particularly those with holdings or relationships with Israeli research and defense firms, are at increased risk,” according to the warning issued by the FBI, National Security Agency, Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center, and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.
This comes just two weeks after the US targeted multiple Iranian nuclear enrichment installations following days of back-and-forth strikes by Iran and Israel. Iran eventually confirmed that several of its senior military leaders and scientists had been murdered in Israeli airstrikes.
For the past year and a half, the FBI has issued warnings regarding terrorist strikes in the United States inspired by the Israel-Hamas War, which began with a Hamas terrorist attack on October 7, 2023, that killed more than 1,200 civilians.
The FBI warned about a month ago that the Jewish community in the United States faces an increased terrorism danger as a result of a shooting that killed two Israeli Embassy personnel in Washington and an arson assault in Boulder, Colorado in recent months. An 82-year-old woman who was injured during the Boulder firebombing incident in June died on Monday, according to prosecutors.
The suspect in the Boulder attack, Mohamed Soliman, allegedly yelled “Free Palestine” throughout the event, according to federal agents.
In the Washington attack, suspect Elias Rodriguez exclaimed, “Free, free Palestine,” which was captured on tape, according to authorities.
“We are looking into this incident as an act of terror and targeted violence.” In a June statement on social networking platform X, FBI Director Dan Bongino stated that all necessary assets would be allocated to the investigation into the Boulder attack. In May, Bongino stated that the Israeli Embassy incident was being probed under identical circumstances.
SRH,Since they were the ones who authorized the entry of millions of illegal immigrants, including terrorists, Democratic governors like Hochul should be the ones to express the greatest worry. Their concern has been rendered futile at this point.
The two most hated countries in the world right now are the US and Israel. Wonder why???
