A young Israeli woman who was held hostage by Hamas is now rejoining Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to fight the monsters who abused her.
The stated of Israel posted, “She survived 477 days in Hamas captivity. Spent 156 days healing at home. In the coming days, Liri will return to the IDF, to defend the people of Israel. We pray for the safe return of all the hostages, so they too can begin to heal.” Liri helped save another hostage. She became famous when pictures and video were released showing how Hamas had physically abused her.
Released hostage Eli Sharabi, the only member of his family not murdered by Hamas, spoke of starvation, abuse, and mockery in captivity. Hamas killed his wife and children and never told him so he returned home expecting to meet them. “No one in Gaza helped me. The civilians saw us suffering, and they cheered for the terrorists. They were definitely involved,” he said.
May God keep Liri and her fellow IDF safe, and secure the release of the dozens of hostages still in Gaza.
