Dismantling Leftist Nonprofits the Key to Rid America of Illegal Aliens

Can the MAGA drive to seize and deport millions of illegal aliens succeed without disabling the local nonprofits that help them escape the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)? The answer is NO with conservative journalist and commentator Matt Walsh demanding that such organizations need to be dismantled.

“Why hasn’t this organization been raided, all of its assets seized, and everyone involved sent to prison?” Walsh posted on X as he shared a Fox News video showing a Long Beach (CA) nonprofit delivering food and basic necessities to illegal aliens at their residences in southern California.

The video report featured Tito Rodriguez, locally known as the “Hood Santa,” who leads a Long Beach charity called the Local Hearts Foundation. With the finds raised through this charity, Tito has been helping the poor people in the local community, particularly the kids, for years. But lately, the Hood Santa has taken to bring groceries to the illegal aliens that have been hiding in houses to avoid being seized by ICE agents on the streets in Los Angeles and surrounding areas.

Unlike the leftist protesters that launched localized resistance to stop ICE agents, including direct attacks on the federal immigration officers to stop them from grabbing illegals, organizations like Tito’s Local Heart Foundation achieve the goal of protecting the illegal aliens from deportation by becoming their home-delivery service. It’s a peaceful way to achieve what the leftist rioters in LA tried over the past several weeks.

But not all leftist nonprofits are taking this route to their political goal of shielding illegal aliens. Some are directly responsible for organizing the riots to thwart the immigration enforcement that is out to grab those who do not belong here. Earlier this month, Republican Senator Josh Hawley of MO launched a probe into the LA-based leftist nonprofit Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA) over its alleged role in supporting the LA riots, both financially and materially. CHIRLA reportedly received $750,000 from the Biden administration in addition to receiving over $30 million of state funds from California’s Democratic administration. The current Trump administration cut all federal funding to the organization.

On June 26, Republican Congressman from California Kevin Kiley introduced the No Tax Dollars for Riots Act in the House to deny public funding and tax-exempt status to nonprofits that organize riots. Kiley specifically mentioned the role CHIRLA played in the LA riots as he proposed the legislation.

The Oversight Project, whose stated mission is to “expose government corruption and hold policymakers and the deep state accountable,” summarized the key role played by the leftist non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the illegal immigration crisis aided and abetted by the Democrats.

Using geofencing data for more than a dozen NGO facilities close to the US-Mexico border, the Oversight Project tracked the movement and processing of illegal aliens in January 2022. The results of the investigation showed that newly arriving illegals were moved into the U.S. with the help of these NGOs to mainly Republican congressional districts in mostly red states, notably Texas and Oklahoma, but also including Florida, Utah, and Indiana.
