John Fetterman gets praise from conservatives for condemning anti-ICE riots

Since coming to office, Pennsylvania Democratic Sen. John Fetterman has not hesitated to break ranks with his fellow Democrats.

That fact was on display again this week when Fetterman denounced recent riots in a move that is sure to leave others in his party seething. 

Fetterman says Democrats are losing “the moral high ground”

According to Fox News, the Pennsylvania legislator put up a social media post on Tuesday which showed a shirtless man waving a Mexican flag as vehicles burned around him.

I unapologetically stand for free speech, peaceful demonstrations, and immigration—but this is not that.

This is anarchy and true chaos.

“I unapologetically stand for free speech, peaceful demonstrations, and immigration—but this is not that. This is anarchy and true chaos,” Fetterman declared.

“My party loses the moral high ground when we refuse to condemn setting cars on fire, destroying buildings, and assaulting law enforcement,” he insisted. 

Those words were met with disapproval from left-wing social media users, with one person writing, “You could spend your time accomplishing something, anything, instead of spending your time desperately trying to find ways to criticize your party.”

Fetterman wins praise from some Republicans

However, Fox News pointed out that Fetterman’s comments were embraced by some conservatives, including Ohio Republican gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, who stated, “It’s hard to preach hard truths to your own side. I respect this.”

Taylor Budowic formerly served as a Cabinet secretary as well as deputy White House chief of staff, and he spoke up in a post of his own.

“This is a wake up call for many Democrats: there is no room for you in the party of [Gavin Newsom] and [Kamala Harris,” Budowic asserted.

“Their self-obsessed pursuits of power are blind to you and your concerns. They defend chaos, reject biology, and are unbothered by the invasion of our nation ,” he went on to add.

California AG fighting deployment of National Guard

That position stands in sharp contrast with the one taken by California Attorney General Rob Bonta, who is fighting President Trump’s decision to deploy National Guard troops.

“President Trump’s order calling federalized National Guard troops into Los Angeles – over the objections of the governor and local law enforcement – is unnecessary and counterproductive,” Fox News quoted Bonta as saying.

“The president is trying to manufacture chaos and crisis on the ground for his own political ends,” the official went on to insist.
