One of the bigger stories of the week was the announcement by former Biden press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre that she was leaving the Democratic Party and releasing a new book.
Her tell-all reportedly details the final three weeks of the Biden administration and why the former president was forced to abandon his re-election bid.
Her departure from the party has been seen as a betrayal by Biden loyalists, but now they are all telling tales about KJP, making it sound like this was something everyone expected.
Betrayal
When the story about the book first broke, there were several unnamed Biden insiders who came out to slam KJP.
In one report, the individual stated that she had mentioned becoming an independent weeks before Biden left office, but the comment was assumed to have been made in tongue-in-cheek fashion.
There were signs, however, long before that, that KJP was all about number one.
For instance, during one interview, she touted the historic nature of her appointment as being the first Black woman who was openly gay to be appointed as the White House press secretary, checking off multiple boxes for Biden.
She stated, “This administration will go down in history. Yes, I myself am already a historic figure and I certainly walk in history every day.”
Well, hey, let’s take someone down off Mt. Rushmore and get her likeness etched in stone!
Several reports have been published on this since her announcement, with one former official taking a massive swing at her.
The former Biden official stated, “[She] was one of the most ineffectual and unprepared people I’ve ever worked with… She had meltdowns after any interview that asked about a topic not sent over by producers.”
That source continued, “She didn’t know how to manage a team, didn’t know how to shape or deliver a message, and often created more problems than she solved.”
The report also stated that KJP had a personal PR agent that would be looped into all communications, solely to help KJP present herself better in the media.
Axios reported, “Many quietly had fumed for years, believing [Karine Jean-Pierre] was incompetent at her job at the White House podium and more interested in promoting herself than Joe Biden.”
Another report surfaced on Thursday stating that KJP was anticipating being offered a spot on The View when she left the White House, but that never materialized, so she decided to write a book instead.
Fox News’ Peter Doocy fired off a shot regarding the book, wondering how KJP would be able to justify the information in the book with the lies she had been telling the American people for the better part of the last three years.
When I wrote my initial report on the book, I stated that I believe KJP likely ended her political career once and for all. After reading these reports, it sounds like nobody will want to touch her after what they are all calling a betrayal of not only Biden, but also the party.
