June 6 2025, MANHATTAN New York: Video shows a chaotic scene inside Manhattan’s federal courthouse Thursday afternoon as Immigration and Customs Enforcement ICE agents detained multiple migrants, clashing with one as activists attempted to stop the detainement.
The arrests occurred Federal Plaza ICE building, where migrants were attending scheduled court proceedings. As migrant’s immigration or asylum cases get dismissed by a judge, they get grabbed by plain clothed officers right outside of the court.
Recently Trump administration started to further ramp up enforcement efforts, including making arrests at and around courthouse. These locations previously were considered sensitive.
