Jurors at the trial of longtime Jeffrey Epstein consort Ghislaine Maxwell will see videotape from law enforcement of the interior of Epstein’s infamous Palm Beach, Florida, home, where prosecutors arguing Maxwell and Epstein spent years exploiting underage victims.
The footage is from a 2005 raid at the estate, which was covered in naked photos and paintings of young women.
Maxwell has been accused of grooming teenage girls by taking them on luxury outings and encouraging them to accept money from Epstein. Government prosecutors also say she fostered a sexualized atmosphere by frequently discussing sex with the young women and encouraging them to become physical with Epstein.
The 59-year-old former British socialite has denied all of the allegations against her, as her lawyers argue she is being scapegoated for the crimes of Epstein, who died in his Manhattan jail cell while awaiting trial in 2019 on similar charges.
A former housekeeper for Epstein, Juan Patricio Alessi, testified Thursday and Friday that Maxwell was “the lady of the house” at Epstein’s mansion.
