Donald Trump Will Replace Mike Pence With One of These Surprising Republicans

Donald Trump appears ready to announce a 2024 campaign for president after next year’s midterm elections.

That immediately kicked off speculation about Trump’s choice of a running mate.

And Donald Trump will replace Mike Pence with one of these surprising Republicans.

If Donald Trump runs for president in 2024 and wins the GOP nomination, there is no chance that Trump would pick Mike Pence to serve as his running mate.

Trump believes Pence stabbed him in the back by not rejecting the results from states where Trump claimed Joe Biden only won because of voter fraud.

In 2016, Trump picked Mike Pence because Pence was a Midwestern governor with strong ties to the Evangelical community and the conservative base.

However, insiders told POLITICO that Trump’s massive popularity with rank-and-file Republicans means Trump does not need to take into account geographic or ideological considerations.

“But as Trump gears up for a 2024 bid to recapture the White House, the nascent thinking at Mar-a-Lago surrounding his potential vice president is considerably different. According to conversations with a dozen Trump advisers and close associates, the former president doesn’t feel bound by geographic or ideological considerations — or any standard political rules at all,” POLITICO reported.

Make America Great Again, Again super PAC pollster Tony Fabrizio explained that Trump’s choice of a running mate would likely hinge on demographic factors.

“He’s not necessarily looking to balance the ticket geographically, but what he can do is pick to balance gender, race, ethnicity — a lot of different lanes there,” Fabrizio stated. “It could be everything from a Tim Scott in South Carolina to an Asian American in California, somebody Hispanic in Texas. There are so many choices and paths. And there’s lots of time to go.”

POLITICO listed South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo among the top contenders Trump would pick from.

The inclusion of Scott worried conservatives as Scott supported gun control and spewed anti-police rhetoric following the death of George Floyd.

Scott also engaged in failed negotiations with Democrats on anti-police legislation that would have crippled the ability of law enforcement to do its job.

Every Republican in America would jump at the chance to serve as Donald Trump’s running mate in 2024.

If Donald Trump wins in 2024 he will then be term-limited out of office in 2028.

Whoever Trump selects as his running mate is the anointed successor that enters the 2028 election as the odds-on favorite to win the Republican Party nomination for president.

Some of the names on Trump’s shortlist are good conservatives like Blackburn and Reynolds, both of whom strongly opposed COVID mandates.

But the head-scratching inclusion of Tim Scott worried conservatives that some of Trump’s more liberal advisors are trying to influence the selection process.
