Almost half of French people don’t shower every day, with eight percent showing just once a week. That is not a stereotype. Scientists have studied this phenomenon. Therefore, French people are not only the smelliest in Europe but, arguably, in the first world.
This is why they have no shame when it comes to making other people smell bad as long as they gaslight themselves and do it in the name of climate change. Thus, we give you this story.
To control the direction of the wind, Paris has decided that it will not be providing air conditioning to athletes staying in the city for the 2024 Summer Olympics. It is unclear what exactly it is that they think this will accomplish, but I assure you it will not even make a fraction of a difference. However, the climate prophets running the city truly believe they will save the world by making athletes miserable.
The 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris are still a few months away, and they’re already one of the most ridiculous athletic competitions yet.
Not because of any one individual athlete, or the qualifying process, or the introduction of new sports. It’s all due to the political views of the event organizers and their laughable desire to virtue signal on a global stage.
In a recent interview, the head of the organization in charge of building athlete housing for the 2024 games revealed that they didn’t add air conditioning to lower the event’s “carbon footprint.”
“We designed these buildings so that they would be comfortable places to live in in the summer, in 2024 and later on, and we don’t need air conditioning in these buildings because we oriented the facades so that they wouldn’t get too much sun during the summer, and the facades, the insulation is really efficient,” said Yann Krysinski, senior VP of Project Management at the company in charge of venues and infrastructure, according to Reuters. “We also are providing naturally cool water that we’re getting from underground to cool the air of these apartments. So you will not need air conditioning in the summer here.”
The average high temperature in Paris in mid-summer is roughly 80 degrees, and with sunset near 11pm, there’s little to no respite from the sun throughout the day. Makes perfect sense.
Question: Will the people who made this decision also refuse to have an air-conditioned summer? What about their offices? I assume they will be forgoing any chance of a cold breeze in there?
We all know they won’t be doing any of that as climate prophets lead the “rules for me, but not for thee” bandwagon. This is also why no one should ever believe a word these alarmists say. Because not only do they not even believe their crap, but not one prediction has ever come to fruition.
If you are going to offer to host the Olympics to hardworking athletes who have dedicated their lives to the event, the least one can do is be respectful enough to not make them unbearable during their time to rest. But when so many naive people truly believe that making Olympians suffer in the hope of controlling the amount of rain the city will get next season, you get the City of Light with no AC.
