BREAKING: Active Shooter Attacks Michigan High School, Multiple Victims

Oxford, MI – An active shooter opened fire at Oxford High School on Tuesday afternoon, wounding multiple people.

The incident began shortly after 1 p.m., Oakland County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) Undersheriff Michael McCabe said, according to NBC News.

Investigators said there were between four and six victims, but no fatalities have been confirmed.

Sources told WDIV that one of the victims was shot in the face.

The conditions of the victims have not been released, NBC News reported.

“We are still doing a secondary search of the school for any further victims,” Undersheriff McCabe told reporters.

The undersheriff said the suspected gunman has been taken into custody.

The shooter’s firearm has also been recovered, he said.

The scene is still active and multiple ambulances are present at the school along with law enforcement officers and a SWAT team, NBC News reported.

Evacuated students will be transported to a local store, where they will be reunified with their families.
