CINCINNATI, OH – A shooting occurred at a large house party in Corryville, Cincinnati, with one person dead and another injured, said a police sergeant on Thursday night. By the time the authorities arrived at the scene, everyone involved in the event had already fled.
Police have reported that the incident took place around 11 p.m. in the 200 block of Fosdick Street. Dujawn Samuel McDaniel Foster III, 21, was fatally shot inside the house. A 16-year-old, who had been shot in the arm, managed to transport himself to the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and is currently reported in stable condition.
Expressing urgency, UC Public Safety sent a message to all University of Cincinnati students at 11 p.m. requesting they remain in their present locations as officers responded to the situation. Around 11:30 p.m., the University of Cincinnati confirmed that the area had been secured, posing no further threat to the campus.
Authorities claim that, to the best of their knowledge, the deceased was not a university student.
