Speaker Mike Johnson dismissed calls for his resignation as “absurd” which is one of the words that best describes his craven sellout to Democrats during his short but lamentable tenure as the top House Republican.
As expected, the lying Louisianan is set to make the decisive move that will dislodge the Ukraine griftwagon from the congressional muck in which it’s been stalled for months, clearing the way for the gifting of tens of billions in taxpayer dollars to the greedy little operator Zelenskyy and his corrupt, authoritarian regime.
Even though Johnson has a motion to vacate hanging over his head like the Sword of Damocles, he’s moving the Ukraine aid to the floor this week as one of a package of bills that are only window dressing, including a much smaller amount for Israel which was just attacked by Iran.
“There are precipitating events around the globe that we’re all watching very carefully,” Johnson told reporters on Monday after a GOP conference meeting, “And we know that the world is watching us to see how we react.”
Johnson also laid it on thick for the press, presenting himself as a “wartime” Speaker, a farcical comment but it’ll be eaten up by all the right people.
Mike Johnson pompously proclaims, “I regard myself as a wartime Speaker.” Insists he’s facing the “hardest challenge” since the Civil War. Must be why he suddenly has such disdain for civil liberties, loves censorship, and wants to spend $100 billion on obscene war profiteering pic.twitter.com/vkmLC7QeAi

For those who may have been wondering what the Speaker was planning for an encore after rubberstamping the government’s domestic snooping program and selling everyone down the river with his complicity in passing Biden and Chuck Schumer’s spending package, here it is.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) who appears to be getting close to pulling the trigger on her motion to vacate, slammed Johnson over his latest betrayal.
“Yes, I am willing to force it,” she told Breitbart News on Tuesday. “The reality for Mike Johnson that he just is not accepting or refusing to accept, publicly at least, is whether it happens two weeks from now, two months from now, or in the next majority, he will not be Speaker. He just will not be. There may be only two of us public right now. But he does not have the support of the conference at all.”
Greene was joined in her bid to oust Johnson by another GOP lawmaker, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.)
I just told Mike Johnson in conference that I’m cosponsoring the Motion to Vacate that was introduced by @RepMTG.
He should pre-announce his resignation (as Boehner did), so we can pick a new Speaker without ever being without a GOP Speaker.

If Johnson is on a kamikaze mission, the Democrats are going to be his wingmen.

Democrats will look to save him – at least until the Ukraine money is freed up – and for good reason. It’s very possible that a good amount of that loot set to be laundered through Kyiv will find its way back into the hands of the party for use in the upcoming election because, while Biden may be a borderline braindead cadaver, he’s the best friend that Ukraine has ever had.
Johnson loves to play up the holy roller act but no less of an authority than Jesus himself cautioned about false prophets who come in the guise of sheep. Ye shall know them by their fruits.
