NIAID, Directed By Dr. Fauci, Responds To Claims The Doctor Funded Cruel Experiments On Puppies

While Dr. Anthony Fauci is never one to shy away from the spotlight, he has been rather quiet when it comes to the bombshell that he used taxpayer money to fund both cruel and unethical experiments on beagle puppies. Not only were the puppies subject to parasite-infected fleas, but their vocal cords were also cut from keeping them from barking or crying. In the end, the puppies were killed and dissected. Again, all in the name of research. But while Fauci isn’t talking, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), directed by Dr. Fauci, provided a statement, hoping to clear the air.

According to NIAID, “The manuscript mistakenly cited support from NIAID, when in fact NIAID did not support this specific research shown in the images of the beagles being circulated. In the NIAID-supported study, twelve dogs were immunized with the experimental vaccine at the Pasteur Institute of Tunis and then let out in an enclosed open space during the day, during high sandfly season in an area of Tunisia considered to be hyper-endemic for canine leishmaniasis.”

The government agency claimed that their organization didn’t have any part in the experiments but funded a separate project to develop a vaccine to help prevent leishmaniasis, which is a parasitic disease transmitted by sandflies that they said poses a threat to military personnel and dogs.

NIAID added that the intended goal was to see if the vaccine would ultimately prevent the sickness from being transmitted to dogs in a natural setting. “Developing a vaccine to prevent leishmaniasis is an important research goal. In this case, the researchers are supported through multiple different funding sources. The NIAID grant ended in July 2021. White Coat Waste also noted a 2016 leishmaniasis project conducted in NIAID laboratories; dogs were the necessary animal model for the research, and the researchers ensured that the dogs experienced no discomfort.”

As for the past where the dog’s vocal cords were cut, NIAID had an explanation for that too. They said that scientists removed the vocal cords “humanely under anesthesia” in order to “reduce noise, which is not only stressful to the animals but can also reach decibel levels that exceed OSHA allowable limits for people and can lead to hearing loss.”

While being open, NIAID never released the outcome of the puppies used during the experiments.
