In a packed basement of the Teamsters Union’s headquarters in Chicago, several hundred so-called “anti-war activists” convened to discuss plans to disrupt the upcoming Democratic National Convention. The left-wing radicals were incensed by what they perceived as U.S. President Joe Biden’s administration’s support for Israel, especially in light of recent conflicts in the region.
Omar Florez, aka Ramone Santana, a Milwaukee-based radical activist, noted the enthusiasm among attendees, equating the momentum to protest both the Democratic National Committee and the Republican National Committee to the actions of “Genocide Joe” and their movement.
However, the mood shifted dramatically when news broke of Iran’s launch of missiles and drones toward Israel. Amidst the chaos, Hatem Abudayyeh, the Executive Director of the Arab American Action Network (AAAN) and a vocal supporter of Islamic terrorists and their organizations, took the stage to address the crowd. He has personally called for Israel’s destruction. Additionally, on September 24, 2010, the F.B.I. raided the homes of twelve leftist activists across the U.S.A., including Abudayyeh, as part of an investigation into links to foreign terrorist organizations.
Asserting Iran’s role in the “arc of resistance” against Israel and the United States, Abudayyeh called for solidarity to prevent further escalation of conflict. His plea for Americans to intervene and halt potential retaliation struck a chord with the audience, igniting chants of “Hands off Iran.”
Joe Losbaker, a leader of the Freedom Road Socialist Organization/FightBack!, echoed support for Iran, emphasizing the power of people to influence political outcomes through street protests. Losbaker was also one of the twelve leftist activists in 2010 to have his home raided by the FBI.
Earlier discussions at the conference featured Shabbir Rizvi, an organizer with Anti-War Committee Chicago and a writer for Press TV, an Iranian state-owned news network. Rizvi taught his comrades to chant Death of Israel and the United States in Farsi.

Journalist Olivia Reingold reports he chanted,
“Marg bar Israel,” leading a group of about 80 attendees along with him. A man draped in a Soviet flag bearing a gold hammer and sickle clapped his hands.
A man in a full black denim outfit shouted out behind his N95—“Can we get a ‘marg bar America’?”
“We can get a ‘marg bar America,’ ” Rizvi replied.
Then Rizvi raised his hand in the air, leading the crowd like a conductor.
“Marg bar America,” they cheered.
As previously reported by RAIR, Communists and Islamic Supremacists have a longstanding history of joining forces to combat their shared adversary: individuals who uphold principles of sovereignty and individual freedom. These values are fundamental in nations like Israel, which both of these factions aim to dismantle.
Throughout history, this unorthodox partnership, referred to as the Red/Green Axis, has demonstrated a pattern of collaboration to achieve global dominance. Eventually, their alliance leads to internal conflict as they turn against each other, seeking to eliminate the other.
