Jerome Adams served as Donald Trump’s Surgeon General from 2017 to 2020.
Adams supported the lockdowns, school closures, and freedom-crushing mandates during the pandemic.
And Christina Pushaw dropped the hammer on Donald Trump’s Surgeon General for forcing children to wear a mask.
The Pandemic is Over
On May 5, 2023, the United States federal government officially declared the COVID pandemic was over.
But nearly one year later, many Americans are still choosing to follow some of the most outrageous policies from the pandemic era.
Mask mandates became a hot topic of debate during the pandemic.
Even though there was no science showing their effectiveness, politicians implemented strict mask mandates for schools, airports, and other federally-controlled buildings.
Young children were forced to wear a mask at school all day, despite the warnings from experts about its impact on psychological and social development.
Jerome Adams is one of the Americans who still wears a facemask in public, even though it does not work at stopping the spread of the virus.
Mask up!
Adams recently posted a selfie of himself in a mask on social media and lectured users on the proper way to wear a mask.
“Pro tip from your friendly neighborhood road warrior: if you choose a mask up, use filtration masks if possible (eg N 95, KN 95, KF 94), and please remember, your mask does no good if it’s sitting on your chin!” Powell wrote above a photo of him wearing a facemask at the airport.

He also posted a photo of a bottle of disinfectant he keeps strapped on his hip like a firearm.
“Even if you’re mad about Covid policies– or think it’s no worse than the flu (and let’s be real here – the last time you had the flu- It sucked!), it makes sense to take simple precautions,” he wrote. “You’ll thank me when that dude is sitting next to you on the plane hacking up a lung.”

Social media users quickly poked fun at Adams for wearing a mask two years after the pandemic ended, especially considering how even Anthony Fauci now admits facemasks did not prevent the transmission or spread of the virus.
Adams lashed out at his critics and accused them of practicing hypocrisy when it comes to “freedom of choice.”
“I’ve said it before, but I will never cease to be amazed at how triggered the ‘freedom and choice’ gang get whenever I talk about my choice to wear a mask – and even use the language of choice and freedom (like they asked/ demanded us to do),” Powell wrote.
He also accused his critics of engaging in “bullying” and “attempts to deny freedom of choice.”
“At what point does ‘I’m mad about being made a to wear piece of cloth or paper over my face 3+ years ago’ (b/c that’s when most mask mandates ended) stop being an excuse for the very hypocrisy, bullying, and attempts to deny freedom of choice people like you claimed to hate?” Powell ranted.

Pushaw sets Adams Straight
Of course, Adams is missing the point.
Americans who oppose mask mandates have no problem with adults who make a personal choice to wear one.
The problem is that bureaucrats like Adams supported forcing young children to wear a mask at school all day.
DeSantis Press Secretary Christina Pushaw set Adams straight in a post on X, where she explained the difference between forcing children to wear a mask and an adult choosing to wear one.
“I am not ‘mad’ about being forced to wear a mask on a plane or whatever, as ridiculous as it was,” she wrote. “However, I was and still am mad that masks were forced on children as young as 2, for 8+ hours a day, while the medical establishment lied that it would have no ill effects on their development.”

Forcing children to wear masks was abuse.
Studies show an entire generation of children saw their social development stunted due to mask mandates and other pandemic policies like school closures.
And Pushaw is helping to make sure Americans never forget what happened to society during the pandemic.
