Kamala Harris hopes to replace Joe Biden and run for president in 2024.
But Biden and Harris’ declining political fortunes put that all at risk.
And now Kamala Harris was called out by the one Democrat that could ruin her for good.
Back in March, Joe Biden named Kamala Harris as his administration’s border czar.
Since that announcement, record numbers of illegal aliens stormed across the southern border.
Ground zero for this crisis is now Del Rio, Texas where 15,000 Haitian illegal immigrants amassed under a bridge with thousands more marching towards the border.
The Haitian illegal aliens made their way to the United States after Joe Biden granted Haitians temporary protective status back in May which allows for Haitians to remain in the country even if they are not citizens or legal immigrants.
It’s a form of administrative amnesty.
Reports indicate Haitian illegal aliens now live in a tent city encampment that many say reminds them of a third-world refugee camp.
Now even some Democrats are furious.
Del Rio’s Democrat Mayor Bruno Lozano called out both Kamala Harris and Joe Biden for their failure to secure the border.
Lozano ripped Kamala Harris for showing up at Howard University to perform the coin toss before the kickoff of a football game while ignoring her responsibility to end the illegal immigration crisis.
“The VP is able to visit the fun events across the country, while American communities continue to grapple with failed immigration reform. Where is the visit to Del Rio, TX?” Lozano stated.
“We need you to visit Del Rio, Texas,” Lozano added.
Lozano also called out Joe Biden for ignoring the border.
“The US is failing to protect its borders. Why aren’t you here? @POTUS,” Lozano wrote on social media.
Lozano ripped Biden for promoting a plan to raise taxes, but not having one to stop the stampede of Haitian illegal aliens into Del Rio.
“Where is your plan to protect American communities at the southern border? I spoke to Governor Abbott today. We have developed a temporary plan, we’d like to see yours,” Lozano wrote on social media.
One of the phenomena of the 2020 election that took analysts by surprise was the shift in the Latino vote towards Donald Trump.
So-called “experts” claimed that because Trump opposed amnesty he could not win Hispanic voters.
In fact, the opposite was true.
Areas affected by illegal immigration saw Hispanic voters move to Trump from the Democrat Party.
Pew found that Trump won 38 percent of the Hispanic vote and the results in heavily Hispanic counties in Texas’s Rio Grande Valley showed a massive swing in Latino voters towards Trump from 2016.
Republican pollster Patrick Ruffini tweeted that the county Del Rio is located in as well as the precinct that contains the bridge Haitian illegal aliens amassed under saw dramatic shifts towards Trump in 2020.
Val Verde County, TX, where Del Rio is the county seat, went for Trump 54-44, a 19 point margin shift from 2016. I wonder how well Biden will do there next time.
There was a 22 point swing in the precinct where the bridge is located. There was a 39 point swing in the next precinct over, covering outlying areas along the river.
If Kamala Harris plans to run for president in 2024 her failure as border czar to stem the tide of illegal immigration could accelerate the realignment in American politics of Hispanics moving toward the Republican Party.
