As the state of Arizona gears up for the big reveal of the AZ Audit hearing on Friday, September 24th, the Democrat Secretary of State, Katie Hobbs, who is jockeying for the Governor’s office, is launching an openly partisan diversion with a letter to Attorney General Mark Brnovich. According to reports from Phoenix, Hobbs is trying (and failing) to manipulate the Arizona AG into opening a criminal investigation of President Donald Trump and associates such as Mayor Rudy Giuliani and AZGOP Chair Dr. Kelli Ward alleging they attempted to influence the Maricopa County Supervisors while the 2020 Election count was ongoing. Basically, it’s a replay of the nothing-burger call to Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, where Democrats attempted unsuccessfully to make similar allegations. There’s only one big problem: Mark Brnovich just isn’t having it, he sees right through Hobbs and she knows it.
The extremely feeble attempt points to declined calls from the White House switchboard to Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Chair Clint Hickman who let the calls from the Commander-In-Chief go to voicemail.
The Arizona Republic, clearly functioning as Hobbs’ PR firm, claims, “Text messages and voicemails obtained by The Republic show multipronged attempts by Ward to halt Trump’s impending loss to President Joe Biden in Arizona.”
Lacking even their supposed ‘smoking gun’ of Trump’s calls with Georgia election officials which turned out to be utterly benign, legal, and appropriate, Hobbs’ office and the Arizona Republic are clearly grasping at straws.
Sec. of State Hobbs Hopes For Partisan Diversion Crushed
Katie Hobbs brutally self-evident attempt to create a partisan diversion from the culmination of the AZ Audit was struck down and crushed when Brnovich and his office pointed out one serious problem: Hobbs withdrew her own office from a program designed to ensure proper elections and for the first time ever in 2020 sent ZERO referrals for illegal double voting. Ooof. According to her very own press sweethearts at AZCentral,
“The (attorney general) has not received any information from your office regarding potential double voting in the 2018 or 2020 election,” Wright wrote in her email, adding that it hasn’t happened since Hobbs withdrew from a program intended to ensure proper voting. “Notably, this is the first time in over a decade the AGO has received no referrals from the Secretary of State regarding double voting.”
Wright added, “Additionally, please provide any and all records your office possesses related to potential violations of Arizona’s election laws,” a reference to the pressure campaign.
Furthermore, on Fox News, Brnovich vociferously rejected Democrats’ attempts to “micromanage” the election via the courts telling The Faulkner Focus.
“The courts are not in the mood for this nonsense…if you look at the hypocrisy of the left, there are states like New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, the list goes on and on, that have way more restrictions when it comes to voting than Arizona does. We offer a plethora of options. So if indeed the Biden administration wants to take our state to court, I will fight them, and to quote Al Davis, “We will just win, baby.”
“It’s going to make it much more difficult for DOJ to proceed with these publicity stunts, and let’s make no mistake, that’s what they are. The Biden administration is trying to appease the far left of the party, and what they are doing is shredding the rule the Department of Justice traditionally had.”
“I worked at DOJ at one point and the idea that they’re going to kind of selectively go into red states and file lawsuits because they want to micromanage our elections is really not only contrary to the Constitution, but it exposes how political this is because we know that there are a whole host of left-wing states with way more restrictions than a state like Arizona has. So shame on the DOJ, shame on the Bush administration for caving to left-wing activists.”
The Democrats’ latest attempts to strong-arm our elections through the courts are not looking good, and Hobbs’ ham-fisted attempt at a diversion isn’t going to fly. In fact, it’ll all mean quite little if Sep. 24th’s hearing revelations are half of what sources inside are saying.
