In a desperate attempt to save face, the Biden administration is pretending as if its border policies are anything but “open”—even when we all know the truth that Joe Biden is one of the biggest open-border advocates to ever become president.
However, Americans will not be fooled. Mountains of video evidence surfaced over the weekend, easily proving that Biden’s claims are false.
During a visit to the US-Mexico border in Texas, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas stated, “We have reiterated that our borders are not open, people should not make the dangerous journey.”
To make the administration appear as if it stands for the rule of law, Mayorkas added, “Individuals and families are subject to border restrictions, including expulsion.”
Finally addressing what many Americans have been gravely concerned about all along, he acknowledged negative consequences open borders or “irregular migration,” as he calls it, can pose to U.S. citizens who live in Texas border communities.
“Irregular migration poses a significant threat to the health and welfare of border communities and to the lives of the migrants themselves, and should not be attempted,” Mayorkas continued.

But, regardless of his empty words, the Biden administration’s border policies have been a free-for-all for any person who wants to trek to the United States in hopes of refuge.
Even now, thousands of migrants are still being allowed to pour over the largely-unguarded border.
Fox News reporter Bill Melugin posted a video from the border showing about 12,000 migrants “camped out” in Del Rio, Texas after illegally crossing. Most of these migrants, who crossed as part of various family units, will not be turned away.

Although Texas officials have attempted to stunt the surge in illegal immigration with increased border security, their attempts have been largely unsuccessful at the state level alone.
Until the Biden administration’s actions match its words, Americans can expect this crisis to continue.
