Cancel Culture Came for Rapper Nicki Minaj – She Stood her Ground and Warns Her Followers to do the Same

Nicki Minaj, 38, a rapper and writer of the Anaconda lyric, “Oh, my gosh, look at her butt; Oh, my gosh, look at her butt; Oh, my gosh, look at her butt,” declared on Instagram on Wednesday, September 15, “I will never use Twitter again.” Manaj’s Twitter controversy originated from her Tweet, “My cousin in Trinidad won’t get the vaccine cuz his friend got it & became impotent. His testicles became swollen. His friend was weeks away from getting married, now the girl called off the wedding. So just pray on it & make sure you’re comfortable with ur decision, not bullied.

However, it was not this single tweet that set off the firestorm but the combination of the above tweet and the follow-up. Minaj revealed on Monday that she wouldn’t be going to the Met Gala because she didn’t want to travel due to her child and she’s unvaccinated, adding that she’ll take the jab “once I feel I’ve done enough research.”

Anthony Fauci, the Chief Medical Advisor to President Biden, countered Minaj’s claim that the COVID vaccine can cause testicular swelling: “There’s no evidence that it happens, nor is there any mechanistic reason to imagine that it would happen,”

Most likely there is not overwhelming data to support a significantly high risk of vaccine-related adverse reactions to the testicles. But while Dr. Fauci claims there is no evidence the VAERS reporting system contradicts his claim.  There have been at least 46 claims of post-vax swollen testicles reported for the Covid-19 vaccines to the VAERS database of adverse reactions:

Minaj  was instantly attacked viciously from the media and pro-vax community. In particular MSNBC Joy Reid launched a Moab Minaj’s way.

Fox’s Tucker Carlson chose to frame, and defend Minaj on his show and she retweeted that clip.

Minaj took to Instagram on Wednesday, not so much to defend herself regarding her controversial Tweet, but to issue warnings to her 157 million followers. ( 22 million on Twitter)

  • We have become that place where you can’t speak for the fear of the mob attacking you. If that doesn’t give you chills up and down your f****** spine? This is scary.”
  • You should be able to ask questions about anything you’re putting inside your body.”
  • But you can’t just innocently ask a question about something going in your body?”
  • And Twitter can just wake they crusty ass up and stop me from asking questions?
  • What scared y’all so much that made you disable my Twitter?

According to Forbes a  couple of errors in Minaj’s claims were identified. She said she got an invitation to appear at the White House—the White House clarified that it “offered her a phone call to discuss her coronavirus vaccine hesitancy, not an in-person visit.” Further, Minaj’s claim that she was blocked from access to Twitter was dismissed by a Twitter spokesperson who said, Twitter “did not take any enforcement action on the account referenced.”

Twitter has been known to shadow ban and disables the poster’s ability to tweet temporarily without taking down accounts to the public viewing. There is no definitive way to know at this juncture if her account was altered for a time period other than Twitter denying which is a pattern for the company in the past when caught doing so.

The latest update on all this can be summarized here starting at the 20.00-minute mark. Both Tucker and Minaj address the censorship and cancel culture aspects of this controversy. Minaj specifically identifies many in her profession who feel the same way but fear speaking out.

Again, the entertainer did not instruct anyone not to take the vaccine and only declared she was researching the subject to make the best decision for her and her family.
