Georgia Secretary of State Threatens to Remove Election Board After It Appoints New Leader

As if Fulton County Board of Elections (FCBOE) was not the leader in voter fraud, they decided to make it more so by electing a Stacey Adams disciple to head the elections.

Cathy Woolard, a former Atlanta City Council president, was elected to chair the election board. Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger was quick to jump on the appointment. He is much more concerned with vo5er fraud in 2022 than he was in 2020.

The reason for Raffensperger to be more concerned in 2022 is simple. He is up for reelection at that time. He does not want to be cheated out of his job even though he aided in making the 2020 election a farce.

Raffensperger is now threatening to dissolve the FCBOE. He says he can do this through a section of the new Georgia election law. I can’t blame him. Noting areas with major problems such as Detroit, Philadelphia, and Dae County should all be reformed in order to make fair and honest elections.

Raffensperger said:

“Fulton County needs to think again before appointing someone who is bought and paid for by Stacey Abrams to run elections in Fulton County,”  “Do incredible damage to the already terrible reputation Fulton has for running elections.”

Fulton County accounts for 11% of the vote in Georgia and any shenanigans conducted there could change elections statewide. A lot of the new election laws that were passed this year were aimed at Fulton County. The county has long been a problem for the state and they play fast and loose with the election laws that harm their chances of winning elections.

Former President Donald Trump zeroed in on Fulton County after narrowly losing Georgia in the November general election, claiming without evidence that fraud in the county aided President Joe Biden‘s victory. He also heavily criticized Raffensperger for not acting to overturn his loss, and has endorsed U.S. Representative Jody Hice who’s set to challenge Raffensperger in the Republican primary next year.

The State Election Board last month appointed a three-person review panel to investigate Fulton County’s handling of elections after receiving requests from Republican lawmakers who represent the county. The lawmakers were using a controversial provision of the state’s sweeping new election law that provides a path for a state takeover of elections in a county.

In addition to serving on Atlanta’s City Council, Woolard also ran unsuccessfully to be Atlanta mayor four years ago and served as a member of Georgia’s Electoral College delegation in December. She thanked Pitts and other commissioners for their support after they chose her for the job.
