U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) – a member of the so-called Squad – was recently caught on camera throwing a temper tantrum at Fox Business reporters.
The incident took place on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.

Context
In order to make sense of the above video, some context is necessary.
First off, Tlaib is a Palestinian American and a Muslim. In fact, she is the first Palestinian American woman and one of the first two Muslim women to be elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. She is also a far-left progressive.
In addition to all of this, Tlaib represents a district in Michigan that, according to the New York Post, is “home to the largest population of Muslims per capita in the U.S.” The Post, here, is referring to Dearborn, Michigan, which is a suburb of Detroit.
This is the same district where anti-Israel activists recently held a rally at which they chanted “Death to America” and “Death to Israel.”
As you may have guessed by now, Tlaib has not supported Israel in the Israel-Palestine war. Not only that but she and members of her district have spoken out against the Biden administration for its support of Israel. At the rally, the activists repeated what has been a common refrain in recent months – “Genocide Joe has to go” – except, this time, they added, “It’s the entire system that has to go.”
Tlaib’s temper tantrum
In the above video, which is 46 seconds long, a reporter from the Fox Business Network attempted to get Tlaib to comment on the “Death to America” rally that took place in her district. This is when Tlaib threw a temper tantrum.
“I don’t talk to Fox News,” she said, repeatedly. Then, after some back-and-forth with the reporter, Tlaib played the race card, saying, “I don’t talk to people who use racist tropes.”
At one point, Hillary Vaughn asked Tlaib why she will not simply condemn the people in her district who chanted “Death to America.” But, Tlaib merely continued playing the race card.
“Fox News is not — listen, using racist tropes towards my community is what Fox News is about, and I don’t talk to Fox News,” Tlaib said.
The back-and-forth continued for a bit until Tlaib got into the elevator and left – all without condemning the “Death to America” activists.
