They Are Spies! US House Freedom Caucus Demands ‘Crying” Kinzinger and Cheney Are Removed

Conservatives in the US House Freedom Caucus, led by Rep. Andy Biggs,  are calling for the removal of Reps. Liz Cheney of Wyoming and Adam Kinzinger of Illinois from the Republican caucus due to their infiltration of the group.

Key Point: Cheney and Kinzinger were added to the committee by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi because she has more control over the pair than she has over other Republicans.

“House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy initially named five additional Republicans to join the committee, but when Pelosi rejected two of them because of their past remarks, McCarthy withdraws all his picks, leaving only Cheney and Kinzinger,” reported Yahoo News.

In a press conference on Thursday, Biggs said:

“It was antithetical to have sitting in your conference, individuals who have professed they want to take out the minority leader.”

The Federalist reported on the matter:

Eleven members of the Republican Party’s House Freedom Caucus called on House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy Thursday to vacate the Speaker of the House position while also changing the rules of the Republican conference to expel Reps. Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney, both of whom Nancy Pelosi appointed to the January 6 Commission, from the Republican Party.

House Freedom Caucus Chair Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) listed the grievances against Pelosi, including her “removal of two of our members from the January 6 commission.” Pelosi kicked ranking members Reps. Jim Jordan and Jim Banks off the commission in a move that was met with outrage by McCarthy but was supported by Cheney.

Biggs suggested a new rule for the Republican conference, that any member who accepts a committee assignment outside their normal procedure “shall immediately cease to be a member of the conference.”

The group has been in battle with US Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), who has been on the warpath against the American people since the Trump administration.

Their struggle with her has escalated over the January 6th events at the US Capitol, which Pelosi conveniently uses as a draconian power grab, refusing to seat Republicans in the caucus, preferring Kinzinger and Cheney for the apparent bias the two have for the Democrats.

According to a recent letter from the group, they want Pelosi removed too.

Left-leaning Newsweek reported:

Cheney, who represents Wyoming, and Kinzinger, who represents Illinois, have drawn the ire of Republican colleagues who continue to support former President Donald Trump. The two GOP lawmakers have repeatedly condemned Trump and have also strongly criticized other Republicans who continue to back the former president. Nevertheless, they both agreed to serve on the committee set up by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

“We’ve got a couple of members, delusory members, who are on the wrong side of facts and history,” Representative Scott Perry, a Pennsylvania Republican, said. Along with fellow Freedom Caucus members, the congressman demanded that House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, a California Republican, hold a vote to expel Cheney and Kinzinger from the House Republican Conference.

Bottom line:  Everything Pelosi is doing is about preventing President Donald J. Trump, stopping his chances of running again, and influencing the Republican party and leaders.

In other words, Democrats are in a panic.
