According to a recent article in The Los Angeles Times, VP Harris has faced harsh criticism from various voter focus groups in Arizona, indicating a challenging road ahead for the Democrat vice president in the upcoming November election. The political organization “Republican Voters Against Trump” shared videos of interviews conducted with three distinct voter focus groups with the publication.
These focus groups were surveyed shortly after Harris delivered a speech in Arizona on April 12. One group consisted of individuals who had voted for Trump in 2016 but switched to Biden in 2020.
Another group comprised of black voters who expressed disappointment with Biden. The third focus group was identified as “California Democrats.” The Times highlighted the blunt opinions of the crossover voters, describing their feedback as “brutal.”
Their responses about Harris included:
“If she is helping Biden, you don’t see it.”
“She rubs me the wrong way.”
“She was picked because she is a demographic.”
“The big things she had, she failed.”
Gunner Ramer, the political director of Republican Voters Against Trump, provided a summary of the opinions to the Times. “Swing voters don’t like her,” Ramer stated.
The other two groups, although less hostile towards Harris, did not offer praise for her either. The report went on to say:
“In a focus group of black voters who were disappointed with Biden, none raised their hand in support of Harris, with one participant calling her ‘the bad news bear.’
“A focus group of California Democrats, while they liked Harris, had to be prompted to discuss her and said she needed more influence and exposure.”
