Most in the mainstream media work overtime in their efforts to convince the American voting public that President Joe Biden is good, and former President Donald Trump is bad.
According to a Rasmussen poll, it appears as if those efforts are failing, as the latest results of a survey indicated that Trump is, in fact, more popular than Biden with voters. In addition, Biden lacks strong support from voters within his own party, Breitbart reported.

The results were close, but they were far from the disparity that many in the mainstream media claim.
The Rasmussen poll revealed that 52% of American voters have at least a somewhat favorable view of Trump. Biden, who is supposed to be quite popular by the media’s account, fell behind his predecessor, only scoring 51%.
Adding to the bad news for the current president was the revelation that 48% of American voters have an unfavorable view of Biden. When posed with the same question about Trump, only 46% had an unfavorable view of the former president.
Interestingly, the poll indicated that not only is Biden more intensely unfavored by Republican voters than former President Barack Obama, he lacks the level of support — especially from Black voters — that Obama enjoyed during his time in the White House.
“Comparing voter opinions of Biden and his two predecessors across demographic categories, the current president suffers from more intense disapproval by Republicans, and doesn’t have the kind of strong support from black voters that benefitted Obama,” the Rasmussen report noted.
Biden’s not doing well
Not only is Biden lagging behind his predecessor and not nearly as popular as his former boss, but the survey results come in the wake of another downer for the new president, in the form of a Gallup poll that indicated his approval rating has plummeted six points.
The president’s approval rating dropped from 56% to 50%, the Gallup poll reported, marking the lowest job approval rating percentage for Biden since he entered the White House in January.
Gallup’s Jeffrey M. Jones suggested that inflation concerns, a decline in COVID-19 vaccinations and worry about a resurgence of the virus all could play a role in the president’s disastrous numbers. He also suggested that the drop could be an indicator that Biden’s “honeymoon” period has officially ended.
“Because Republicans have been unlikely to support him from the beginning of his presidency, changes in his approval are likely to come from Democrats’ and independents’ evaluations of him,” Jones wrote, spelling potential disaster for his future in the White House, and Democrats in general.
It’s becoming clear that the only reason why Biden received the number of votes that he did during the 2020 election was not that Democratic voters believed in him as they did Obama, they were simply voting for the sake of defeating Trump. It appears, however, that buyer’s remorse is finally setting in.
