GOP Introduces Bill To Censure Joe Biden For ‘Failure To Execute The Duties Of His Office’

Almost two dozen Republican lawmakers in Congress introduced a resolution on Wednesday to censure Joe Biden for his “failure to execute the duties of his office.”

The move to censure the 46th President of the United States comes amid the growing immigration crisis at the southern border, which was precipitated by Biden’s rollback of Donald Trump’s initiatives intended to stem the flow of illegal aliens into the country.

As one of his first executive orders, Biden halted the construction of the border wall intended to restrict and stem the flow of illegal immigration into the country from Mexico by closing the gaps in remote locations across Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas.

Biden also rolled back several other Trump initiatives, namely those intended to keep asylum seekers and would-be migrants from Central America by processing them in their home countries and in Mexico.

Since then, Biden delegated the task of dealing with the border crisis to Kamala Harris, who only this week announced that she would take a trip to the U.S.-Mexico border on Friday, three months after she first took on the role.

Led by Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert, Republican lawmakers introduced a censure resolution to express their “disapproval of [Biden’s] failure to uphold the constitutional duty to ‘take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed,’” according to Boebert’s press release.

Representative Boebert stated:

“My censure bill holds President Biden accountable for his actions—or lack thereof—at the border. Biden has refused to enforce the laws securing our border, he has refused to visit our border, his border czar Kamala has refused to visit the border, and his Secretary of Homeland Security is lying to the American people by saying that our border is closed. Not only has Biden done nothing to secure the border, but he has also actively made it worse by implementing policies that incentivize illegal immigration like amnesty, catch and release, and abolishing the remain in Mexico policy. The result of Biden’s mismanagement is staggering, and the numbers speak for themselves.”

Boebert’s comments were followed by remarks from Rep. Andy Biggs, who called the Biden administration a “complete disaster.”

“President Biden and Vice President Harris have sent an unequivocal message that they prefer illegal immigrants over Americans. Their radical agenda has erased our southern border. Americans suffer from the Biden policy which has encouraged more than one million illegal border crossings this year which has produced an increased human, sex, and drug trafficking. The American people condemn the Biden Administration’s dereliction of duty,” said Biggs.

“Ensuring the integrity of our borders is one of the most fundamental duties of a president, yet President Biden has destroyed four years of progress at the border to satisfy far-left activists and cheap labor-loving globalists. His reckless determination to reverse every Trump administration policy regardless of the outcome has put every American family and our economy at risk. We must hold President Biden to account for putting politics over the people he has sworn an oath to protect,” remarked Rep. H. Morgan Griffith.

“The absence of law and order is the breeding ground for criminal activity,” said Rep. Bob Good. “Within the first four months of the Biden Administration, arrests for murder are already up an astonishing 1,133 percent at the southern border. President Biden’s reckless approach to our southern border is manufacturing a humanitarian crisis. President Biden has undermined his oath and taken Congress’ power into his own hands by granting blanket amnesty and failing to enforce the laws on the books. I am proud to join Congresswoman Boebert in calling for his censure.”

The representatives were joined by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Former Acting Commissioner Mark Morgan, who stated that Biden is “currently presiding over the greatest abandonment of immigration enforcement and border security this country has ever seen. Our border is in a historic crisis, solely due to his actions.”

The president of the Federation of American Immigration Reform (FAIR) Dan Stein, NumbersUSA Director Rosemary Jenks, and Eagle Forum President Collleen Holcomb also offered remarks blasting President Biden’s failure to uphold his duty.

The effort to censure President Biden comes in the wake of a CBP report announcing that a record-high number of 180,000 migrants were caught at the U.S.-Mexico border in May, in comparison to a mere 23,000 in 2020.

It is the highest figure recorded by the agency in two decades.

Illegal alien laws not enforced
The dumping of illegal aliens or facilitating the dumping of illegal aliens in US cities is aiding and abetting those who have broken our laws and those who refuse to enforce them. Local law enforcement should join with citizen protesters to prevent this further violation of law. Failure to support the below as contained in The US Constitution and US Code is a violation of the law enforcement oath of office.
The following is the oath of office for the president of the United States: “I do
solemnly swear [or affirm] that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
All law enforcement and elected officials are required to take a similar oath to protect, defend and preserve our Constitution and faithfully execute our laws.
Article 4
section 4 of the Constitution begins as follows: “The United States shall GUARANTEE (my caps) to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against invasion.” (The Biden administration has refused to do this)
A republic defined:
Noun 1. A state in which the supreme power rests in the body of citizens entitled to vote and is exercised by representatives chosen directly or indirectly by them.
“Guarantee” is a legal term more comprehensive and of higher import than either warranty or “security”. It most commonly designates a private transaction by means of which one person, to obtain some trust, confidence or credit for another, engages to be answerable for him. It may also designate a treaty through which claims, rights or possessions are secured.
Title 8
United States Code 1103(a) (5) states the following: “The Attorney General
shall have the power and the DUTY (my caps) to control and guard the boundaries and borders
of states against the illegal entry of aliens.” (The Biden administration has refused to do this)
A legal obligation that entails mandatory conduct or performance.
Title 8 USC
1103 (a) (10) states the following: “In the event the Attorney General determines
that an actual or imminent influx arriving off the coast of the United States,
or near a land border, presents urgent circumstances requiring immediate
Federal response”—he can authorize state and local agencies to assist in
carrying out his duties to protect our borders. State and local agencies
consist of local police, sheriff departments, and the National Guard. The attorney
general of the United States is under the secretary of Homeland Security. (The Obama administration has refused to do this)
Section 274 felonies under the federal Immigration and Nationality Act, INA 274A(a)(1)(A):
A person (including a group of persons, business, organization, or local government) commits a federal felony when she or he:
* assists an alien s/he should reasonably know is illegally in the U.S. or who lacks employment authorization, by transporting, sheltering, or assisting him or her to obtain employment, or
* encourages that alien to remain in the U.S. by referring him or her to an employer or by acting as employer or agent for an employer in any way, or
* knowingly assists illegal aliens due to personal convictions.
The Obama administration knows that In 2002, Congress tasked ICE with creating an “Alternatives to Detention Program”, which allows aliens “who present a low risk of flight, and who pose no danger to the community” to be released without detention as they await deportation proceedings. They are supposed to stay in contact but this administration knows the most just disappear. In addition they “released” 68,000 detained criminals into the US in violation of the “no danger to the community” requirement.
It seems to me that the president, the secretary of Homeland Security, and the attorney general
of the United States have not just an obligation but a sworn constitutional duty to control our national borders against invasion by illegal aliens and also to protect the individual states
against invasion by this same group.
If what is happening along our southern border is not an invasion, many people in this
country have an entirely different belief of what the term means than do our
leaders. The above indicated people seem to have purposely turned a blind eye
to this problem for many years and should be forced to fulfill their sworn
Some will say that the definition of invasion applies only to military actions. My answer to them is the exact wording in Title 8 USC 8 (a) (5) above: “Guard the boundaries and borders of states against the illegal entry of aliens.” (The Obama administration has refused to do this)
send the above to your elected officials
