Donald Trump Revealed the Truth About This Rumor That He Will Replace Nancy Pelosi

Nancy Pelosi’s grip on power loosens every day and there is rampant speculation she will retire from Congress at the end of this term.

That would create a massive power vacuum.

And now Donald Trump revealed the truth about this rumor that he will replace Nancy Pelosi.

Political strategists in both parties favor the Republican Party to win back the majority in the House of Representatives.

That would open up the position of speaker of the House.

The new Congress chooses the speaker by a simple majority vote on its first day in session.

But there is no requirement the speaker of the House serve as a sitting member of Congress.

That’s led to rampant speculation by Trump allies – even fueled at times by Trump himself – that a new Republican majority could elect Trump as the speaker of the House in January 2023.

Trump put this rumor to bed through a statement by then-spokesman Jason Miller.

“[Trump] has zero desire to be Speaker,” Miller told Punchbowl News.

This rumor did not come out of nowhere.

In an interview with radio host Wayne Allyn Root, Trump left the door open a crack to the idea.

“That’s so interesting,” Trump said in response to a suggestion by Root that Trump say he would be willing to serve as speaker of the House.

Trump added that people suggested he run for Senate, but that Trump liked the idea of replacing Nancy Pelosi as speaker of the House more.

Trump’s aides and advisors also breathed life into this idea.

American Conservative Union Chairman – and husband of former Trump White House communications official Mercedes Schlapp – Matt Schlapp told Newsmax that Trump could help the GOP win back the majority in the House by announcing he would be willing to serve as speaker of the House.

“There’s a lot of buzz out there,” Schlapp stated, “that Donald Trump would even be potentially someone they’d crown as Speaker of the House if the Republicans get the majority back. I’m not saying that’s a live wire, but it’s an interesting conversation about Trump inserting himself in the fight for the Republicans to get back the majority.”

Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon suggested that Trump could launch a 2024 presidential campaign by serving as speaker of the House and impeaching Joe Biden in 2023.

“Trump is a disruptor, but he has a long-term vision because I absolutely believe in the marrow of my bones that he will be our nominee in 2024,” Bannon stated. “He’ll come back to us. We’ll have a sweeping victory in 2022, and he’ll lead us in 2024.”

“We totally get rid of Nancy Pelosi, and the first act of President Trump as Speaker [of the House] will be to impeach Joe Biden for his illegitimate activities of stealing the presidency,” Bannon added.

Donald Trump will play a major role in boosting the GOP in the 2022 midterm elections by campaigning for Republican candidates.

But Trump will not help Republicans oust the Democrat majority by making himself a candidate for speaker of the House.
