By sending Florida law enforcement to the U.S. southern border to help Texas and Arizona, Governor Ron DeSantis is emerging as the new national leader of the America First, or Trump movement.
DeSantis famously opened up his state early and has refused to back down in that effort, while seeing Florida Covid-19 cases plummet and the Sunshine State’s economic status boom, to the embarrassment of blue states still in lockdown.
Florida law enforcement officials including Highway Patrol, nine different sheriff’s departments, and members of the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, will travel to the southernmost counties of Texas and Arizona to secure the border, wrote The Federalist.
Govs. Ducey of Arizona and Abbott of Texas beckoned for help from other states, writing “Given the staggering number of violations now occurring in Texas and Arizona, additional manpower is needed from any state that can spare it. With your help, we can apprehend more of these perpetrators of state and federal crimes, before they can cause problems in your state.”
Florida’s Attorney General Ashley Moody supported DeSantis’s decision, saying Biden’s border crisis “makes all of us less safe,” and that she is “dedicated to ending human trafficking, protecting our children from sexual predators, and fighting the opioid crisis now claiming 21 lives a day in our state.”
While President Trump emerges from his self-induced ‘quiet period’ since the coup last November, DeSantis has filled the MAGA void firmly, leading to speculation of a run for higher office in 2024.
During this Constitutional crisis and attempted Maoist revolution by Leftists forces, America badly needs leadership — DeSantis is providing it to the delight of millions.
