DeSantis And Abbott Join Forces To Tackle Border Crisis

Two of America’s favorite governors are using powers granted to them by the states to take joint action defending the United States’ southern border.

After the Biden administration almost completely abandoned the border crisis, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis are taking matters into their own hands to come up with a solution.

DeSantis announced in a statement on Wednesday he is deploying Florida law enforcement officers to Texas and Arizona to “provide additional resources in response to the border crisis.”

“America’s border security crisis impacts every state and every American,” said the governor. “The Biden Administration ended policies implemented by President Trump that were curbing illegal immigration, securing our border, and keeping Americans safe.

“Governors Abbott and Ducey recently sent out a call for help to every state in the nation, needing additional law enforcement manpower and other resources to aid with border security,” DeSantis continued. “I’m proud to announce today that the state of Florida is answering the call. Florida has your back.”

DeSantis’ move comes after Abbott revealed Tuesday he is allocating more than $200 million to “finish” building the wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.

“Texas will finish what President Trump started. Later this week, I will unveil our plans to build a border wall,” said Abbott. “The Lone Star State will do what Biden REFUSES to do — protect our citizens along the southern border.”

Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris, who was put in charge of the border crisis, has prioritized attending Pride Parades and taking leisurely trips to Central America to discuss “root causes” of the mass migration to the United States.

Although she told Central Americans earlier this month “do not come” to the United States, she has taken no action to limit illegal border crossings.

Amid the Biden-Harris administration’s lack of concern about the crisis, former President Donald Trump announced in a statement on Monday that he has accepted Abbott’s invitation to join him at the border.

What a shame it would be if a former president addressed the crisis in an official visit before the current administration does.

But nevertheless, Trump’s visit to Texas on June 30 will undoubtedly bring mass attention to the “disaster zone,” and show Americans the dangers of open borders.
