Republican explains WHY he voted against making Juneteenth a federal holiday

One of fourteen Republicans took to Twitter to explain why he voted against making Juneteenth a federal holiday:

I can’t say I disagree with Rosendale here. The history of our country, slavery, the Civil War, and the civil rights movement is important to know and understand. But those are things of the past and not of this generation. The creation of more holidays recognizing slavery is nothing more than efforts by our race hustler politicians to further racialize and balkanize this society, to keep pushing the false CRT narrative that whites are oppressors and blacks are victims.

That’s exactly why I wouldn’t have supported it, just like Rosendale. Unfortunately most Republicans are too afraid of media attacks to have the courage to stand up to this. There were no objections in the Senate and only 14 Republicans in the House that voted against it.
