The Coca-Cola Company has initiated a recall of 902 cases of Powerade due to the potential presence of a foreign metal object. This voluntary recall, in collaboration with the Food and Drug Administration, started in February and is still in progress.
The affected products include several varieties and lot codes. Specifically, 387 cases of Powerade Zero Mixed Berry and 366 cases of Powerade Mountain Berry Blast. Both share the same lot codes: 0013098209, 0013111742, 0013111657, and 0013119902.
Additionally, 149 cases of Powerade Zero Fruit Punch are being recalled. These too have the same lot codes as the other varieties.
All recalled products have an expiration date of November 11, 2024.
According to Food Safety News, the foreign object found in the beverages is a small metal ring. Consumers in possession of these beverages are advised not to consume them.
Instead, they should return them to the place of purchase or simply discard them. This precaution is advised to ensure consumer safety.
