(The Post Millennial) – On Thursday, the FL State Board of Education officially made it illegal to incorporate “critical race theory” (CRT) in public school classrooms across the state.
A mother speaks out against critical race theory (now banned in Florida schools): “I don’t know about you, but telling my child or any child that they are in a permanent oppressed status in America because they are black is racist.”

The new measures include CRT, and any other curriculum that could possibly “distort historical events.”
The measure has the full support of FL Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), who has previously talked about how a measure like this is necessary to protect children from teachers or school boards who are “trying to indoctrinate them with ideology.”
“Some of this stuff is, I think, really toxic. think it’s going to cause a lot of divisions. I think it’ll cause people to think of themselves more as a member of particular race based on skin color, rather than based on the content of their character and based on their hard work and what they’re trying to accomplish in life,” said DeSantis.
According to local outlet ABC 9 WFTV, this issue is one that is raging all over the nation, with CRT’s supporters saying that the system has “preserved the unequal treatment of people on the basis of race, and that the country was founded on the theft of land and labor.”
Recently, the TX government signed a similar bill into law, according to the Houston Chronicle. Many other states in the union have already also followed suit, or are drafting/contemplating similar measures.
