If it really was CNN’s intention to take out a third-party threat to President Joe Biden with its sketchy Aaron Rodgers hit piece, then it already looks like a smashing success.
This week, it was reported that presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was mulling naming NFL quarterback Aaron Rogers as a possible running mate, a nightmare ticket for those wanting to keep the issue of COVID out of this year’s election.
With Kennedy’s run threatening to siphon off liberal votes from Biden who is already faced with a revolt from his pro-Hamas base, his allies have had the jitters over the longtime Democrat’s run. After news broke about RFK Jr.’s shortlist, CNN dropped an evidence-free scoop that the New York Jets star had promoted Sandy Hook conspiracy theories over a decade ago.

According to a piece by reporter Pamela Brown and Biden shill Jake Tapper, Rodgers confronted her during a party after the 2013 Kentucky Derby and began to spew crazy talk about the 2012 massacre at the Connecticut elementary school that claimed the lives of twenty young children and six adults, allegedly telling her that “it was actually a government inside job and the media was intentionally ignoring it.”
CNN has spoken to another person with a similar story. This person, to whom CNN has granted anonymity so as to “avoid harassment,” recalled that several years ago, Rodgers claimed, “Sandy Hook never happened…All those children never existed. They were all actors,’” Tapper and Brown claimed. “When asked about the grieving parents, the source recalled Rodgers saying, ‘They’re all making it up. They’re all actors.’”
Rodgers denied CNN’s smears in a Thursday post to X.
“As I’m on the record saying in the past, what happened in Sandy Hook was an absolute tragedy. I am not and have never been of the opinion that the events did not take place. Again, I hope that we learn from this and other tragedies to identify the signs that will allow us to prevent unnecessary loss of life. My thoughts and prayers continue to remain with the families affected along with the entire Sandy Hook community,” he wrote.

Casting further doubt on Brown and Tapper’s tale, a resurfaced video of the quarterback’s comments in the aftermath of Sandy Hook was posted to the platform.

I’m gonna guess that CNN’s “trust me bro” sources may not have been entirely accurate about this one. https://t.co/twVA6fr9PB pic.twitter.com/H6zdQkBan2

But the story that there is no way of proving or disproving worked wonders if the real target wasn’t the former Green Bay Packer, but Kennedy himself.
The left-leaning outlet Mediaite reported that some of the candidate’s donors “are balking at the possibility” that Kennedy could pick Rodgers, a vocal critic of the jabs and mandates that CNN along with the rest of the mainstream media pimped on behalf of the Biden administration.
“In fact, a number of donors have voiced their discontent directly with the campaign, pledging to withdraw their support from Kennedy if he chooses Rodgers in particular,” according to Mediaite, which quotes one source who explained donors “think it’s telling that no credible person wants to be VP,” that they see his choice as “an acknowledgement of the credibility of his campaign or lack thereof.”
The other name mentioned was former Minnesota governor, actor, and pro wrestling star Jesse “The Body” Ventura with Mediaite’s source scoffing that the quarterback “has no political experience” and that Ventura “has not been in politics for nearly thirty years. Both of them are unqualified for the second highest position in the United States — Vice President. Choosing either of them would mean that Bobby is not a serious candidate.”
It may just be a coincidence but it’s worth noting that the Democratic National Committee and Democrats are dedicating resources to going after party candidates, a sign of how spooked that party is that Biden could lose to former President Donald J. Trump later this year.
“The Democratic National Committee is dedicating staff to taking down third-party candidates, with both the Democratic National Committee and left-wing think tanks filing complaints against the super PAC backing Robert Kennedy Jr. In fact, Biden allies have started a super PAC called Clear Choice dedicated to stopping Kennedy or other third-party candidates, while Democratic opposition research group American Bridge is monitoring third-party candidates closely,” the Washington Examiner reported.
According to NBC News, “The Democratic National Committee is building its first team to counter third-party and independent presidential candidates, people involved told NBC News, as the party and its allies prepare for a potential all-out war on candidates they view as spoilers.”
It would seem that the party is already working hand-in-hand with CNN and Tapper, a loyal water carrier for Biden.
