Barbie was the biggest summer blockbuster of 2023.
It was also accused of being one of the biggest pieces of feminist propaganda in the history of Hollywood.
But now Shakira dropped a one-word truth bomb about the Barbie movie that has left Hollywood elitist executives in a state of shock.
Anything men can do, women can do better, women can do anything better than men
For decades now, Hollywood has been pushing the feminist narrative.
And in recent years, the “rah-rah girl power” movement seems to have become an obsession with Hollywood elites.
From recasting famous male roles with an all-female cast like in the 2016 Ghostbusters remake to abortion-advocate movies like The Janes in 2022, to superheroes that can do everything better than their male counterparts like in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Captain Marvel, and She-Hulk.
Last year, Barbie took the feminist cake.
And like millions of moms, pop star Shakira took her kids to see the biggest blockbuster of the summer.
She wasn’t impressed – and neither were her children.
But the woman whose hips don’t lie isn’t one to criticize without advice – and she offered plenty of advice for woke Hollywood.
Shakira’s movie reviews don’t lie
Shakira was recently featured in Allure, for an article the magazine titled, “Shakira: She-Wolf Feminism.”
During the interview for the article, the topic of the Barbie movie came up – and Shakira didn’t pull any punches.
In fact, if she were to describe the feminist film in one word, it would be, “emasculating.”
“My sons absolutely hated it,” Shakira admitted. “They felt that it was emasculating. And I agree, to a certain extent. I’m raising two boys. I want them to feel powerful too, while respecting women.”
Shakira believes art can lift women up – without holding men down.
“I like pop culture when it attempts to empower women without robbing men of their possibility to be men, to also protect and provide,” Shakira said. “I believe in giving women all the tools and the trust that we can do it all without losing our essence, without losing our femininity. I think that men have a purpose in society and women have another purpose as well. We complement each other, and that complement should not be lost.”
Hispanic voters continue to flee the radical Left
Shakira’s comments should serve as an example of why so many Hispanic voters are leaving the Left.
A 2020 survey from Public Religion Research Institute found that 70% of Latinos are Christian.
The Spanish language is gendered.
They tend to be hardworking and family-loving.
That’s not exactly a recipe for the woke agenda of deconstructing the nuclear family, eliminating gender, abortions on demand, criminal-friendly policies, no border security, and use of the made-up term “Latinx.”
Shakira is a proud Hispanic woman – but she’s also a mom of boys and believes men and women serve different and important roles in society.
These are common sense beliefs – but they’re not beliefs shared by the American Left.
