Crime in Germany has exploded to levels not seen in close to a decade, with a huge increase in migrants committing offences, especially violent crimes.
Statistics from the German Interior Ministry released on Tuesday show that the number of foreign suspects rocketed up to around 923,000 in 2023, correlating to a whopping 18 percent increase in just one year.
The data further shows that 41 percent of all crime suspects in Germany are foreigners, despite only representing 15 percent of the total population.
Overall there has been a massive 14.5% increase in the number of non-German suspects of violent crime.
The report notes that there has been a 5.5% increase in crime and an 8.6% rise in violent crime in 2023, which is now at a 15 year high.
We have continually highlighted how crime, especially violent crime, is now out of control in Germany, with knife attacks, violent assaults, rapes and other horrific occurrences having exploded since Germany opened its borders to mass migration in 2015.
The new figures prompted Federal Minister of the Interior Nancy Faeser to announced that “Foreign offenders must leave Germany much more quickly. The strict deportation rules we have created must now be enforced.”
“It is important to me that the rule of law takes tough action against violence,” Faeser continued, adding “Zero tolerance applies here. Anyone who doesn’t stick to the rules must leave.”
Faeser, who is a member of the center-left Social Democratic party, added that “vigorous policing, swift trials, meaningful sentencing and tangible punishments,” must be enforced, and “Criminals must feel the consequences of their actions — and quickly.”
Faeser also recommended that integration of migrants be improved, stating “it’s about prevention as well as repression.”
“We have increased the number of participants in integration courses threefold in order to convey from day one in Germany which rules and which values we live by,” Faeser said, adding “Put simply, it’s about respect, not violence.”
Opposition parties on the right said that the data shows the urgent need for a cap on immigration, and have argued that such ‘integration’ policies are a key component of the coalition government’s race to naturalize millions of foreigners, thereby masking the truth of who is behind the crime surge.
Indeed, the stats don’t even provide the full shocking picture of what is happening because many of the “German” suspects are really foreigners who have obtained German citizenship, or they are Second or third generation migrants.
Armin Schuster, the interior minister in the state of Saxony and a member of the centre-Right Christian Democrats, called on Olaf Scholz’s government to cap refugee numbers.
“This very negative development shows how strained our integration services are in terms of accommodation, language and work… we urgently need a migration cap for refugees,” Schuster said.
Alexander Throm, the home affairs spokesman for the Christian Democrats in the Bundestag, said the data is “alarming but not surprising” because it is a consequence of Scholz’s “open” migration policies.
Richard Graupner of the right-wing populist AfD in Bavaria urged that “What the AfD has warned about for years can no longer be hidden … new crime statistics have triggered a debate on foreigner crime.”
The head of the German Police Union, Rainer Wendt, slammed Faeser, asserting that “The Federal Minister of the Interior is becoming more and more like ‘Nancy in Wonderland’ when she is astonished to discover that Germany has become more violent.”
He further noted that the only ones surprised about the figures are those who have “completely lost contact with the population.”
As we highlighted in February, Faeser has repeatedly claimed that the ‘right wing’ is the biggest threat to order in Germany, and even announced a plan to target the bank accounts of people who donate money to groups and causes deemed to be ‘right wing extremists’.
The AfD, which has surged to over 20 percent approval in polls, has charged that the policy is aimed at reigning in the rising popularity of the party.
Regional elections in Germany are scheduled for September, with current polls indicating the AfD could win the most votes in key states, and potentially a third of the overall vote.
The party has called for mass deportations of criminal migrants from Germany, with the media claiming there have been ‘secret’ conspiratorial meetings among members to get it done.
