(NewsNation) — A spokesperson for the University of Columbia said students who are taking part in an “unauthorized encampment” are being suspended.
The encampment is part of a pro-Palestine rally happening on the campus, which comes one day after the school’s president defended the way the university has handled antisemitism at the Ivy League member.
Columbia is continuing to identify the students involved and will be sending out formal notifications of suspension.
