Salt Lake City, UT – Parents in the Granite School District have had enough with the tyrannical and anti-science classroom mask requirements. They decided to stand up and fight back at their recent school board meeting. Here’s a short version in video form…
“Emergencies have always been the pretext on which the safeguards of individual liberty have been eroded” – Friedrich August von Hayek
A woman who spoke at the board meeting began her speech with the above quote, to which the gathered parents erupted into a roaring applause. She continued, “One size does not fit all and adults who have higher risks should not project their fears or expect the youth to carry the burden of those fears.” (Queue more applause) “Burden of proof should be on the district, not on the parents, not only is there no proof that masks are the solution, there’s not even proof that it’s a good trade off.” (STANDING OVATION). Here’s he longer version…
Granite School District spokesman Ben Horsley stated that the meeting was going through the usual process until they got to the public comment section.
“Several individuals approached board members in an effort to intimidate them, so the safety of the board and employees was a concern. Police are investigating to identify the main aggressors and are evaluating appropriate legal action.” – Ben Horsley
Back in 1776 the two sides would meet out on the battlefield in an “orderly” fashion. Nothing changed until the battles were fought in the non typical way. Verbal dissent is the American way. We get to speak our minds here
